Now thanks to the wonderful Sylvie at FuelMyBlog and those generous people at JML Direct, I was recently sent a rather strange contraption called the Spin Gym!

Now to be honest I was really sure on how this was going to work and it did remind me of one of those optical illusion toys that I had as a kid with the card in the middle and a bird on one side and a cage on the other, you know the ones I mean

OK! But What Does It Do?

The Spin Gym is a handy new gadget that with a little practise and a daily 5 minute workout it can effectively strengthen and tone your upper body muscles, such as your arms, shoulders, back and your chest.

The Spin Gym is based on the optical illusion that I mentioned earlier and has been designed and developed in helping professional athletes to train their upper body muscles.

It uses a combination of inertia, gyrotronics and isokinetics that allow you to get at least 20 lbs of resistance each time that you pull the outer rings, giving your upper body that workout it’s been screaming for.

Sounds Great But How Do You Use The JML Spin Gym?

It’s really quite simple to start using the Spin Gym, all you need to do is hold the two outer rings and spin the middle disc 20 times to wind up the tension in the cords.

Then simply pull your hands away from each other to spin the inner weight, when you feel the tension go, return your hands to their original place for the spinning weight to tighten up the cords again and repeat. Yes it’s that simple.

But it does take a little practice to get in to a good flow in using the Spin Gym to get it to keeping going, imagine clapping your hands, it’s that sort of movement and believe me after 5 minutes you certainly feel the muscles that have been given their workout

What Are The Benefits Of The JML Spin Gym?

Well, besides the fact that you can get a good workout of the upper body, the Spin Gym is so small you can carry around with you and use it anywhere, in the home, office on the beach, anywhere you want.

So there is no excuse that you haven’t got your own little personal gym with you when you are out and about, I take mine to work with me and then usually have 5 minutes just to keep to a routine and it’s just so easy to use.

OK, So How Do I Get One Of These Fancy Looking Spin Gyms

That’s easy You can grab yourself a Spin Gym from JML which retails at £29.99 and it comes with a handy drawstring bag to carry around with, instruction manual, extra cords (for when you need them), two DVDs (Fitness Instructional & Workout Video and Cardio & More) and of course the Spin Gym itself.

Sounds Great! But, I’d Love To See The Spin Gym In Action

Ah ha your wish is my command

Click here to view the embedded video.

Now is that easy or what

So there you have it, my overall thoughts are this is a great gadget and as it’s so small and easy to take everywhere there is no excuse not to, it’s certainly something I would recommend it

Don’t forget to check out the official JML Facebook page for more great gadgets like this one and loads more info

I love it when I get something in the post to review and the most recent product I’ve had the chance to review is a Zhu-Zhu Lavender Body Wrap.

First of all, let me tell you what the Lavender Body Wrap is.

The Body Wrap come is a soft bag that has natural wheat germs and pure lavender leaf, so all natural products there then

It is used to help release the stress and everyday aches and pains that you body may be getting during your busy lifestyle or sports events that you may be taking part in, it’s simple to use and the heat from the wheat germs, when heated in your microwave, help in relaxing your tired joints and muscles with a gentle heat and soothing aroma of lavender.

So Do They Work?

The simple answer is yes. I do suffer a lot from lower back pains and usually after a day a work it’s a case of running a hot bath and relaxing in some muscle soak to relax my aches. But with these Body Wraps it’s just a case of putting it in the microwave for 2 minutes and then placing it on the area that is aching and then just relax.

I’ve been heating mine and then just sitting down with the Zhu-Zhu Body Wrap on my lower and allowing the heat from the warp to do the work and boy does it work. It’s not a cure, but it certainly helps, the wrap does stay warm for a while and it just seems to melt away the pain.

And if it does start-up again at night, just pop the Body Wrap in the microwave and “ping” it’s warm again, I even went to bed with it resting on my back last night and it felt so much better when I awoke this morning.

This is an ideal way to help sooth aches and pains, rheumatism, arthritis, migraines, bruising, sports injuries, menstrual pains, stress & tension. It can also be used as a cold compress to ease swelling, bruising and sports injuries.

Overall Thoughts

I would recommend these to anyone with muscle pains etc and to those that may prefer an alternative to hot water bottles, after all there’s no scalding water involved.

Many thanks to Zhu-Zhu and @sylvied from FuelMyBlog for the opportunity for another great product to review.

Written in stone was the cardinal rule that royalty only married royalty, and though Rosemary was aristocratic – her father was the Duke of Sutherland – she was, in King George’s eyes, a commoner. What he would have thought of his great-great-grandson marrying the beautiful Kate, daughter of parents from a working-class background, can only be guessed at.

The Golden Prince by Rebecca Dean she melds fact with fiction to explore the poignant situation of Prince Edward when, as a very young man, he was denied personal happiness by not being allowed to marry the commoner he loved.

How Edward would have envied his great grand-nephew William. And how different British history would have been if Edward, like William, had been given permission to marry the girl he gave his heart to as a young, idealistic prince.

I’m really looking forward to reading this book and a must say many thanks to @sylvied from FuelMyBlog for the opportunity of yet another chance to do review of something interesting

So please keep your eyes out for the review of The Golden prince, but remember to give me a chance of reading it first

You may have noticed that this is part two of my review of the North Face Hedgehog trainers that I kindly received from FitnessFootWear, if you haven’t read part one yet, then just click Review: North Face Hedgehog (Part 1 Introduction).

I did originally hope to get this second part out a bit sooner, but thanks to the typical and somewhat unpredictable British summer weather, I’ve been kept back the constant rain that has hit us lately

Anyway, let’s get on with the review of these North Face Hedgehog lightweight women’s speed hiking shoes.

I won’t go into all the specs again as you’ll find these in part one of the review, but suffice to say, these trainers are light, when I first looked at them I had the strange feeling that they would be quite cumbersome and heavy to wear, but they are really light and when I’m wearing them they are just so comfortable.

On to my little field test of the Hedgehog trainers, now I will openly admit that I’m not one of the fittest people on the planet, yes I do a lot of walking and having some [intlink id="review-skechers-shape-ups-walking-on-air" type="post"]Skechers Shape-Up[/intlink]s has really helped with me getting that little bit fitter with the walking, but when it actually comes to running, I’m not as fit as I used to be

So I started using the Hedgehog trainers to do a bit of walking, but, I decided to walk at a faster pace than normal, a sort of speed walking and worked up from there over a period of days, the trainers are good at absorbing the shocks from walking fast and each step was comfortable.

When it came to giving them a test with me running, I was quite surprised how they performed, not only are they absorbing the shocks, the grip on the shoes is great, I ended up in the wet and I felt really secure in the fact that hey were gripping the different surfaces I was running on, grass, mud, roads and pavements all performed well and not once did I slip!

Overall I would have to recommend the North Face Hedgehog lightweight women’s speed hiking shoes to anyone and don’t worry guys you can get your hands on them in men’s sizes as well, so there’s no excuse for not to get out there and get fit

Welcome to another review here on my blog, this time I was recently sent some of the new North Face Hedgehog lightweight women’s speed hiking shoes to give my opinion on, a big thank you to @sylvied from FuelMyBlog and FitnessFootwear for this opportunity. This is part one of my review, with this been an introduction to the shoes and over the coming week I will be testing them out fully and giving my full opinion in part two of the review

I was quite intrigued by the name of these shoes, the name Hedgehog, really got me thinking on what they would be like when I got them out of the box, but I had an inkling on why they might be called, Hedgehog.

So after opening the box, which is coincidently made from 75% recycled material, good for the environment a great start there then I found these quite amazing looking shoes with what can only be described as quite sturdy, stylish and extremely comfortable and with a heck of a set of grips on the bottom, maybe that’s why they are called a Hedgehog!

As quoted on the info which came with the Hedgehog shoes they have an upper of Gore-Tex XCR waterproof, breathable membrane, should keep my feet from lack of oxygen Abrasion-resistant, bomber synthetic nubuck and breathable sandwich-mesh upper, OK and a Gusseted tongue, hmmmm

The bottom of the Hedgehog is Compression-molded, lightweight EVA midsole. Injection-molded TPU shank plate. Heel X-202 air pod. Exclusive Vibram outsole, in other words, it’s strong, sturdy and has a heck of a grip

So, I’m going to give these shoes a good bit of wear and tear over the this coming week and then I’ll be posting part two of this review on what I think of the shoes overall and how well they performed

In the meantime why don’t out check out FitnessFootwear Blog for all the latest sports and outdoor shoes news, reviews and previews.

A little while back I was given the opportunity by Sylvie at FuelMyBlog to do some shopping online for my two dogs at a website called Nutrecare, not only do they cater for dogs, but they also cater for cats, horses and rabbits!

I have to admit that I must have two of the fussiest dogs in the world and food is always a problem for them and they turn their nose up at most things, but, luckily for me, Nutrecare also has other Dog Supplies and I took it upon myself to get something other than food, I got them a pair of Buster tooth brushes and some Enzymatic poultry flavoured toohpaste!

Using the Nutrecare website was really easy and navigating around the site to find what I was looking forward really didn’t take much time at all, there are loads of things available for your pets and though I did know what I was looking for I did spend more time looking around the other selections that were available for my dogs, such as food, beds, coats, hygiene, grooming and the list goes on.

But eventually I picked my items and put them in my online basket, all very easy, then went to the checkout and ordered the stuff for my dogs.

After about two days there was a knock on the door and the parcel from Nutrecare had arrived, wow, that was quick. everything was included in the parcel that I had ordered, no mistakes, which is what I really like to see

The toothbrushes and toothpaste were exactly as they were pictured and described on the website, though it is taking a bit of perseverance for the dogs to have their teeth cleaned, the products are of a good quality and are certainly doing the job that they are designed for.

Overall, I am happy with what I ordered from NutreCare and will certainly consider them if I need anything for my dogs again.

Check out NutreCare and also follow them on Twitter @Nutrecarepets and on FaceBook.

Ok those that read my blog will notice that sometimes I do a Monday Moan, well this week it’s early I just couldn’t stop myself from typing this one out!

Sometime back I posted about a seed bar called the 9Bar, one of the tastiest things I’ve ever tried and since that post I have, without fail, been buying these bars at my Local Morrisons, but recently they have not been having them, so today I found someone to ask about the bars and why they weren’t having them anymore.

According to the gentlemen I spoke to today, the whole section devoted to healthy food has been on a decline and has reduced from three section down to one and a bit, it seems that people would prefer to buy unhealthy food such as cakes with too much sugar and fats in than eat something that tastes nice and IS good for you.

Imagine my disgust, but I suppose that it was inevitable, as just around the corner is the cake counter, go figure! But surely someone was buying them, not just me!

The reason I am so upset is these bars have been very useful for the diet I have been on and have been a good source of my midday snack instead of biscuits, crisps or the like and since I started on the Wholebake 9bars I have lost weight, they were just filling enough to keep me going through the rest of the day at work without snacking.

So my plea to Morrisons in Rhyl, is come on, give the 9bars and other health foods another chance. I’m not the only one that enjoys these bars…

Then on to an interesting and very useful post by Extreme John on “Backlink Checker for Counting Backlinks” here I found three websites listed with tips on your backlinks for your blog etc.

Atniz.com is another blog that I frequent and the post “The Dead of blog advertising” is an interesting read on what is happening to the reduction of your revenue through blog advertising these days.

Comedy Plus always brings a smile to my face and today I got an Awww from the very cute picture at “Awwww…Mondays #24“.

Daddy Papersurfer is another constant read and though I have been a bit of a slacker on commenting lately, maybe this post will make up for it, although sometimes posts can be short on DP’s blog they always bring a giggle to my chuckle muscles and reading the comments is fun, specially the post “WANTED — A PRIVET COUNCILLOR“.

Finally a word from the great DaddyP again, but this time on FuelMyBlog, which I’m a proud contributor of several posts, the post “THE TROJAN HOARSE” is DaddyP showing his addiction, no not the ginger nuts, but about blogging, but aren’t we all

So there you have it, just a small round up of some of the posts I’ve enjoyed reading today, there are loads more, but time constraints and the fact I’m flaming starving are bringing this humble posts to an end, so ciao for now readers…

Those wonderful people over at FuelMyBlog have informed their readers, that includes me, about PAW…

As we all know kids love parties, so do we adults or should that be big kids, anyway PAW (Parties Around the World) is a charity site that runs via donations at parties.

The host of an upcoming birthday party can use PAW™ to ask guests to make a donation to a PAW™ charity of their child’s choice, rather than bring a present. Since donations are made through PAW™, it is fast, simple and easy to use. You can set up a dedicated party page, invite your guests, track their RSVPs (no more chasing parents) send thank you emails – and the great thing is that everyone can keep track of how much they have raised for your child’s party theme.

Anyway check out Parties Around the World for more information

Yet again those wonderful people over at FuelMyBlog have granted me with the privilege to write another review and this time it’s the turn of EMI, yes the music EMI

EMI have a new site and it’s currently in beta, but so far it looks and runs fantastically, so what’s it all about then, well to put it simply the EMI website is an Online Music site where you can stream a great collection of tracks by a vast collection of artists, make your own playlists and has a great collection of features to entice you into the artists music that is listed on the site and believe me there’s lot of it!

The home page greats you with a carousel of releases for you to pick from, a bit like the way album covers can be flicked through on an iPod and iTunes, you get the latest news, an RSS feed and on the right of the screen a video which plays as soon as the website loads, nice touches indeed.

Next the “Discover” tab, putting it simply a search box for you to find artists which are similar to an artist that you like, I tried this by typing in “Orbital” my all time favourite electronic duo and it came up with the like of Bjork, Aphex Twin, 808 State, Kraftwerk and Leftfield. So in my point of view that’s almost spot on, works for me.

“Artists” is the next tab, “My God it’s full of stars!” been dying to use that for ages, but it is, here you can browse through “Breakthrough Artists” and just browse artists, clicking on an artists picture takes you to the discography page for the artist, with music to stream, videos, photos and bio, I clicked through a few and there are some great artists listed, shame not to see Remergence on there yet thought

Onto the “Charts” tab, again this really speaks for itself with a list of the top streamed tracks and artists.

The last tab on the site is the “My Stuff” tab, this is where you can build your own playlists of the tracks that you have found on EMI and enjoy listening to, edit your account and even grab a widget so you can share your playlist with your friends, nice touch.

Overall the EMI site is great for finding even more artists to listen to and another site for you to stream music from while your doing other things, very nice indeed, the sound quality of the tracks when streaming is good and clear, and all the well known names that you may like are mostly on there, so another plus point.

A thumbs up from this music fan, simple design, easy navigation and great tunes will certainly build this sites reputation amongst music fans everywhere.

I love everyone at FuelMyBlog and now Iffyton High Street, the most wonderful Sylvie and Kevin at FuelMyBlog arranged for me to get my hands a T-Shirt of my choice from the great collection of store on the Iffyton High Street website and it arrived today, did I say how wonderful Sylvie and Kevin are

So I stopped by the website and browsed my way though the collection of shops for my free T-shirt, the site is very easy to use and all the shops are on a virtual high street so getting from one store to another is very easy and each store opens in a new window so you won’t loose the high street, it took me a while as I was really spoilt for choice, but, as I am very musical I went for a T-Shirt with a guitar on it, rock out man!!!!

Anyhow I orderd a Large T-Shirt, because I know as soon as JJ sees it he’s going to pester me until I say “Oh have the T-Shirt just shut up!”

The T-shirt quality is very well made and nice and thick 100% Cotton so it should was up well, it’s warm to were, not as if I’ll have it to wear once JJ reads this post..

So if your looking for an awesome T-Shirt then you must pay a visit to Iffyton High Street a visit.
