I recently put a post together on here on the nominations for the Razzies of 2011 and I have to say I really did take great pleasure ripping on some of the movies that I have hated over the last year (years in some cases). Well you can imagine my reaction to being told that a follow up post would be appreciated on the Blazing Minds Blog then cant you!? I get to rip on those awful movies all over again, fantastic!
Here are the winners (or losers) of this year’s Razzies.
Worst Picture: The Last Airbender
Surprisingly the winner of this one was The Last Airbender and I have to say I was really disappointed that Twilight didn’t win this as I really do hate the movie franchise; it has just ruined vampires for me! However The Last Airbender was a rubbish film that just didn’t deserve to compete with some of the other bigger movies of last year. A film that relies too heavily on CGI and doesn’t focus on storyline does not deserve to win anything.
Worst Actor- Ashton Kutcher
As a lot of this in opinionated anyway I am prepared to say that I do not think I have seen Ashton in a movie I have liked or will ever admit to saying he is even half decent when it comes to acting. This does seem a little harsh but to be fair he caters more to the romance side of movie making which doesn’t interest me in the slightest. Read on to find out more winners at the Razzies
The Raspberry awards or “Razzies” as they are better known as celebrate the worst films over the past year and this year is no different! Sometimes it is safe to say that actors need to be told that not every movie they make is film gold and instead of deserving a place on the shelf it barely deserves a place in the 99c section of the bargain bin!
The Highlight Of 2010 Awards
Before we look at the 2011 awards lets first take a look at the highlight of the 2010 awards. This of course was Sandra Bullock accepting the award for worst actress for All About Steve. Very rarely will you find that an actor ever turns up to this awards ceremony and this is because most of them are far too “high and mighty” to acknowledge that they have made a movie that sucks!
The other day, while pondering through the videos that live on YouTube I came across one that got me thinking about embarrassing moments, so I thought I would take this opportunity to start a discussion, which I don’t do that often …. Or do I?
Anyhow on to the post at hand, we have probably all been in those predicaments where we have forgotten something or someone and found it quite embarrassing.. Now I am going to ask you all to keep this clean, I know there are those out there with a mind so dirty that a bin lorry looks clean compared to their minds, so you have been warned!
Now this has probably been done already, but, I thought I would have a bit of a giggle with my Twitter friends today, so I’m going to start a new hash tag #AltSongTitle.
Early today I was tweeting away with @John_C and I tweeted this:
So I though we could all have a bit of a laugh and post alternative song titles.
Just tweet your alternative song title and add the #AltSongTitle hash tag to your tweet and lets see how many good ones we can get out there
Against my better judgement and the fact that only DaddyP suggested this rather bizarre topic for this weeks Saturday Six, this weeks topic is LAVATORIES, as quoted in the tweet from DaddyP:
So here it is, oh dear
Six different Names for Lavatories?
There we go, one question with a total of Six answers (I’m dreading this, curse you DaddyP )
Ok, that’s it, thanks for taking part and I’m looking forward to everyone’s answers. Don’t forget to hit the “Tweet” button in the SexyBookMarks to ReTweet this weeks Saturday Six.
Anyone using Twitter can be part of the process by tweeting me a topic, I will then pick one randomly and the chosen topic will be used and the tweeter will have a DoFollow link to their website or blog as a thank you.
If you would like to nominate a topic then simply tweet me @RemBeatZ with your nominated topic and the hash tag #Sat6
It seems to be the buzz word, or should that be hash tag, that is sweeping across Twitter at the moment, but what is SpyMaster?
Well to put it simply, SpyMaster is a game that is based around your Twitter profile, your spies are your followers and it is a turn based game that can be very, very addictive but fun to play.
Log into SpyMaster using your Twitter details, which is all done via the Twitter Oauth system, so it makes it that bit more secure to use, then join a side, you can choose from the American CIA, British MI6 and the Russian FSB. Each branch has it’s good and bad points, such as stronger energy, better weapons, you get the gist.
Once in the game you gain your wealth by performing different tasks, assassinations, buying safe house and weapons etc.
It’s all a good bit of fun and as I mentioned above it can get quite addictive, but if your looking to have a bit of fun then check it out..
I saw this the other day over at The Daily Dust and just had to use it for this weeks Music Monday…
