Personal hygiene in shops and stores by the public is terrible

Earlier today I tweeted from my local Morrisons on the way people do not wash their hands after using the toilets and then going straight off to do their shopping, so I’m thought I would post about it.

So, there I was washing my hands with the fully automated, touch nothing, washers after using the toilets in Morrisons in Rhyl and whilst I was doing these three woman came in, used the loo and then when straight out without washing their hands. So their personal hygiene practices suck big time!

Now I’m not sure if this down to pure laziness or just a blatant disregard for hygiene, for starters they have touched the toilet seat, toilet roll holder, flusher and the door lock on the toilet door, then they just walk straight out into the store and do their shopping, picking up food and putting it back and also, as Dalekcat tweeted, “not to mention the trolley handles“.

Don’t they realise that there are so many germs these days that can easily be spread via not washing their hands, the questions arises do they do the same at home? Or worse!

Washing your hands is important process of your personal hygiene it is the first defence against the many germs that can easily be transferred to our hands from the simplest of places when you are out and about, just think you go to the toilet touch urine on a seat and then go and pick up an apple, don’t like the look of it and then put it back, now those germs will get transferred on to someone else!

There are signs in public toilets asking, no, telling people to wash their hands, those there is only one in the toilets in Morrisons and it is quite small, personally I think that a very large sign should be behind the toilet, on the toilet door as you walk out of the cubicle, over the top of each wash basin and on the door on the way out!

I am so annoyed with this whole thing that the next time I am in the public toilets somewhere and I see someone walking out without washing their hands, I will stand there and shout “That person has not washed their hands, dirty beggar!”

Halloween Costumes, kids, sweets and everything else!

So Halloween is upon us again and it’s that time when people are looking for Halloween costumes to wear, throwing up Halloween decorations and buying stacks of sweets to give to those unwelcome kids that are trying to scare the crap out of people!

Ok, so I do sound like a grumpy old so and so, but come on! What is the point of freezing your arse off on a cold winters night, knocking on peoples doors and threatening them with “trick or treat“, yes threatening, some older people are terrified to open their doors these days due to those that are taking advantage of a night..

I’ve never understood what the trick or treat has to do with a Gaelic and Celtic festivals of the summer’s end or the Celtic New Year, it’s just seems so out-of-place these days, but I suppose once people are used to doing something year in and year out, then they keep going with it.

Ok, it may be fun for small children to go round with their parents knocking on neighbours doors and screaming “trick or treat“, but why the hell would teenagers of 14 upwards do it, mainly because they are up to no good and just want to be a complete nuisance to people.

Further more, do the kids actually know what Halloween is? Do they think it’s just a chance to get free tooth decaying sweets from neighbours, a chance to dress up in silly costumes, or even a chance to have a bit of a late night up!

I don’t really know, personally I’ve never seen the point of it, but this is just my point of view and I dare say that some of you out there will put me in place and say how wrong I am, but who cares, I hate Halloween!

Monday Moan – Icy Weather

It’s been an awful day today, I got up this morning to a cold and icy day, it took me a good twenty five minutes to clear the car of ice and then I had to “skate” along the drive to open the gate!

What made it worse was that the local council really didn’t think this was going to happen, even though the rest of us did.

Our street was like an ice rink and the little country lane I have to drive up to get to the main back road to work was just as bad, surely it should of been gritted knowing people use this narrow road to get to work ect in the morning, so there I was doing a steady snail pace up the road to get to work, it must of took me at least an extra twenty minutes to work this morning, good job I started out early!

I’m just hoping that tomorrow isn’t the same as today, or I’m going in later!!!
