A little while back I posted about the [intlink id="rhyl-perfect-place-visit" type="post"]Children\’s Village in Rhyl[/intlink] and how disgusted I was the state of the so-called fountain that used to be in the middle of the car park on the walk up to the middle of the Children’s Village.

Well Today I visited Rhyl again and as I got out of the car in the car park, I could smell the distinctive odour of wet paint!

The fountain that was once full of stagnant water and rubbish has now been filled with what seems to be rubble from a demolition site and it’s around it has all had a lick of light grey paint, which doesn’t look to bad, but not sure about the rubble though!

Those of you that read my blog frequently may remember when I posted “[intlink id="what-has-become-of-rhyl" type="post"]What Has Become of Rhyl?[/intlink]” and a picture I posted then of the so-called fountain that used to be in the car park underneath the children’s village.

I posted that picture back in 2008, seems so long ago now, but yesterday I went into the same area of Rhyl, something I don’t do very often if I can help it and though it did seem that the ramp and stairs going around the fountain had been made safer with some form of anti-slip surface, I am sad to say that nothing has improved with the fountain!
