First let me introduce you to Tweetdeck

If you are a blogger you properly also have a Twitter account where you promote yourself or maybe even multiple accounts. After a while it can be a lot of work to keep up with those accounts and tweets and the default www.twitter.com solution does not add much support for multiple accounts and a lot more than that. That is where Tweet Deck comes to the rescue. It is a little application you install on your PC. When it is installed you can configure multiple Twitter accounts and configure different kind of views for your twitter stream.

On the picture below you can see I have configured 3 columns in my Tweetdeck.
The first one is called All Friends and simply just shows tweet from all people I follow. The second column is showing tweets only from bloggers that are on my customized list called “Favorites-Bloggers”.

If you are a heavy Twitter user like I am you know them all. The Hootsuites, the SocialOomph or Tweetdeck scheduling functions. Even though their functions are golden if one isn’t neglecting to engage and participate in the conversation, it is quite a hassle to schedule each tweet individually I found.

So let me therefore introduce you to a new App, which will save you the hassle of time-setting and scheduling once and for all. It’s a very simple tool called Buffer.

The 3 Main Differences to other Apps:

- There is no need to schedule each tweet individually, you simply add to Buffer and your tweets are scheduled for your throughout the day

- You can add tweets to your Buffer from any page you are on with browser extensions (Chrome, Safari, Firefox)

- You receive detailed stats about how well your tweets sent via Buffer performed

Whenever you are reading an interesting article you can give it one click on the Buffer icon and add to your Buffer. For example I wanted to share Karen’s post, here is what happens:

Combine Buffer with your favourite Twitter Client

Buffer will enhance your experience on Twitter greatly, by giving you a consistent Twitter stream, which also doesn’t create an information overload for your followers.

In my case, teaming up Tweetdeck and Buffer works wonders, so I believe it is important to point out Buffer is not an “instead of your favourite Twitter client” tool.

This is a question that I have been asked before by loads of my friends and I thought I would write a short post on my tips for your mass of DMs or Direct Messages that you may have building up on your Twitter profile.

First of all your DMs shouldn’t really give you any cause for concern, even though they may be a bit of a pain to have loads, they are generally not a problem, but, if you do want to get rid of them, there is sadly no option on Twitter to delete multiple DMs, so how do you do it?

There is time when you are following or are followed by that many people of [intlink id="109" type="category"]Twitter[/intlink] that sometimes you get bombarded with complete Spam, you know the stuff, sending you direct messages about joining 140 bands etc. So there comes a time when you need to sift out these possible spammers and block them from your Twitter Timeline.

One way of doing this is with a website called TwitChuck.

Yes I have been a busy little bee lately, not only have I tweeked the blog to show a handy little box when you hover over a twitter name in the comments section ;) But, I have also started a Twibbon for those that like the blog so much they can show their support.

So how does this Twibbon work?

Well most of you have probably already seen a Twibbon in action, once you show your support a little “Twibbon” will appear on your Twitter avatar, in the case of Blazing Minds it’s a small version of the Blazing Minds Twitter avatar, it’s really that simple.

Twibbon

So if you do like the blog and would like to show your support which I’m really hoping you will, then please stop by the Blazing Minds Twibbon and show your support ;)
