Work can be boring, let’s just put that out there now. Humans were not built to sit at a desk for 8 hours a day doing paperwork by themselves – we are social creatures and we love to have our minds stimulated, even while we’re at work.
So if your work routine has gotten boring, spice it up a little bit with some awesome Pandora stations to listen to while making that cash. If you’re unfamiliar with Pandora, it’s a free app that you can download that plays a random mix of songs based on artists or genres that you tell it you like.
If you don’t know where to start, or you’re worried that your favorite Pandora station might be inappropriate for the work environment, worry no more, because here at the top 4 Pandora stations to listen to while you’re at your desk that everyone can enjoy!
Mumford & Sons
Mumford & Sons is such a mellow band to begin with that you’d have to imagine their Pandora station is pretty laid-back with a mix of acoustic and slightly jazzy tunes. Well, you’d be right if that’s what you imagined – the Mumford & Sons station is a favorite because of its chill-out properties that can relax just about anyone listening to it.
Plus, have you ever really met anyone who doesn’t like this band? Probably not. The music is enjoyable, and Pandora mixes the Mumford & Sons songs with other equally enjoyable tracks for your listening pleasure.
90′s Pop Radio
Ahh, the station that’s dedicated to those of us who so dearly miss the 90′s. Remember the good ‘ole days of the Backstreet Boys, N*Sync, Christina Aguilera and of course the alternative members of the group like the Spin Doctors, Alanis Morisette and Vertical Horizon.
There isn’t a person in your office most likely who wouldn’t mind hearing some of these (now) oldies but goodies. They’re feel-good songs that bring back a 90′s nostalgia that long since passed with the turn of the millennium. Throw this station on when you feel like having a throwback party in the office instead of doing actual work!
If you’re more the mellow type of music listener, or you like to throw it back slightly further than the 90′s, check out the Michael Buble station. You’ll hear Michael’s smooth voice and melodies along with a mix of his musical ancestors, including Frank Sinatra, Etta James and Harry Connick, Jr.
This station will put you in a mood to totally sit back, relax and get some work done.
If you’re a country fan, then this station was built just for you! Featuring a perfect mix of the classic twang of Willie Nelson and the new rock-country stylings of Carrie Underwood and Taylor Swift, you’ll find exactly what you’re looking to hear in terms of country songs on the Lady Antebellum station.
Plus, Lady Antebellum aren’t so bad themselves. They’re a great mix of fast and slow songs to keep you on your toes throughout your work day, plus they’re not heavy enough to be a distraction in your office. If you keep it on the less-twangy side, too, most of your co-workers will probably enjoy this station, as well!
