Already being a Buffy fan I was excited to hear that Joss Whedon was coming out with a new series – and boy did he deliver with Dollhouse. I was shocked and appalled to hear that it didn’t have very good ratings; I guess people have no taste or maybe it was just too clever for their tiny little brains! And I guess it doesn’t help that that greedy arsehole Rupert Murdoch will cancel any show unless it’s making him a 400% profit. I know I know I sound all bitter but it just makes my blood boil that a programme like frickin Big Brother continues to pollute the airways for a decade and decent stuff get scrapped after 2 seasons! Anyway Dollhouse is one of the most imaginative and intelligent things I’ve seen in a long time and it was really funny, with great story lines and superb acting. Here are my top 5 favourite Dollhouse moments:
#1. Echoes (S1E07)
This is the one where they all get high on some mysterious drug that can be passed on through touch. The best moment is when Boyd, high as a house calls Adele and says he has it all figured out. He then puts the phone handset down and starts playing the most beautiful piano music. This would normally cause Adele to have an aneurism, except her and Topher are also pretty baked, so she listens to the music and is moved to tears. In the meantime Echo has gone AWOL and people are going nuts or dying all around them.
# 2. Briar Rose (S1E11)
This is the one where we get to see Alpha for the first time. Alan Tudyk is amazing! He is first introduced as Stephen Kepler ‘The guy who designed the Dollhouse’, but it turns out he is really Alpha and he was using Ballard to get back into the Dollhouse. The moment when he transforms from nervous geeky pothead into a highly intelligent but deadly ex-doll is really scary but cool. He even manages to be really sexy and I have to say I don’t normally find him attractive.
A serial killer gets run over and becomes comatose. In order to find his still alive and locked up victims Victor is imprinted with his personality and let loose with agent Ballard on his heels. Echo on the other hand is imprinted with the personality of a ditsy flirty college girl to fulfil the perverted fantasies of a dirty old college professor who learns his lesson about lusting over little girls the hard way when in a disastrous turn of events Victor and Echo swap personalities. Enver Gjokaj is fantastic as a slutty blond bimbo strutting his stuff in a nearby night club.
#4. Omega (S1E12)
Alpha has taken Echo and is planning on loading her up with all the different personalities that she was imprinted with over the years hoping that she will become like him and the two of them can rule together as the biggest power couple ever. Echo however ruins his plans by maintaining her sanity and refusing to let all the different personalities rule her. Favourite line: “Call me Omega one more time and you’ll get some more!”
# 5. The Attic (S2E10)
This one is really intense. Adele sends Echo, Victor and Sierra to the attic which is the place where people’s worst nightmares come true. They manage to break free but have to find their way out of this matrix they are trapped in with the help of some old friends. My favourite moment is when we find out that Adele was on their side all along, and in fact she has deliberately sent Echo in there to uncover information that will help bring down the Dollhouse. Joss Whedon does like women with balls of steel. I love that in a man.

I tried to watch the first episode but I couldn’t watch it all
To be sincere it seemed boring. I watch a few TV shows and I try to watch new ones if they seem interesting but this one didn’t catch my attention
