So it’s the buzz around the internet at the moment with Total Recall listed in the current trend on Twitter and this is all down to the release of the official full length trailer that has a nod to the original movie, as you get a peak of the three-breasted woman, yes I know only for the lads eh!

Now Colin Farrell has taken on the role of Douglas Quaid (originally played by Arnold Schwarzenegger), this new longer trailer shows Quaid in action as he is enticed by the three-breasted prostitute, kicks butt, shoots guns, has marital problems in a big way with his wife, played by Kate Beckinsale and generally keeps running!
What you will notice about this remake of Total Recall is it doesn’t look as “clean” as the original, by that I mean that the original film looked bright, colourful and a cheerful looking future, since the remake looks a lot darker, giving you quite a foreboding look at the future, a bit like Bladerunner (another film adapted by a story by the late Philip K. Dick)

So there you have it folks, Total Recall, directed by Len Wiseman and starring Jessica Biel, Kate Beckinsale and Bill Nighy hits the UK screens on 29th August 2012, so make a note in your diaries.
What do you think of the new version of Total Recall? Do you think it’s going to be better than the original movie or do you think that the special effects will take over the movie? And what do you think that in this version of the movie Quaid doesn’t even go to Mars!!!
Let me know your thoughts, it’ll be interesting to know what the movie going public thinks of yet another Hollywood remake hitting our big screens this summer

Very cool. I did not even know they were remaking Total Recall. I think it could be a bigger success than the original as Colin and Kate are very fine actors and it wasn’t one of Arnold’s main roles like Terminator for example, so it won’t be quite as hard to live up to.

With technology being so advanced in movie making now, the remake could be pretty awesome, though I am a little disappointed that they don’t actually go to Mars in this version!
