Now for those that are wondering what TuneCore is then read my post “Getting Your Music Released – Tunecore Vs CD Baby”

So what’s this “On Demand” all about then, well to put it simply, TuneCore now has he option to have Amazon.com produce a physical copy of your album when it is needed, so you don’t have to have a mass of CDs produced, when someone orders a physical copy from Amazon.com a CD is manufactured and dispatched, yes it’s that simple.

How much does it cost, well that’s the great thing, just select the option of Amazon on Demand when you select which stores you would like your music delivered to and then just select the type of template you would like for the release, don’t worry your cover art is used for the release, so try to match the template to the colours of your cover art.

Then you have to select your pricing for the On Demand release which you can chose from t lowest value which is $8.98 (you receive $3.59) to the highest value $19.98 (you receive $7.99), then just wait for the release to go live and that’s all there is to it.

I have just used this for the Remergence release of Probably [Single], so hopefully this should be available soon at Amazon.com using the On Demand..

So it’s a case of time will tell to see how this works ;)

Responses have been OVERWHELMINGLY positive so far, Karen, thanks for the mention. It’s a real breakthrough–a chance for people to apply the digital distribution model for physical distribution, and leverage a huge name like Amazon on top of it.

    Thanks again!
