It does seem that since Twitter bought Tweetdeck a few of the options have disappeared, which is a real shame, you are limited to what columns you can now add and the “new followers” one is not one of them!

Hey guys, I really want to add this column but there isn’t a “Core” Thing when I click add column… Maby new version? Could anyone help or link me to a tutorial for the newest version of tweet deck?

Great post. Have you discovered how to add a New Followers column in the new Tweetdeck (1.0)? Doesn’t seem to have the Core option anymore. Thanks!

Very interesting stuff this Tweet Deck is I tell ya. I used Tweet Deck when it first came out then jumped ship to Seesmic and haven't been back to check out Tweet Deck since. I didn’t know TweetDeck had the “new followers” option, but I haven’t really looked around in the TweetDeck options/settings for a long time either.

Great write up Karen. I have never used tweetdeck out side of my iphone. By the images you added it looks amazing. I can say from experience that the tweetdeck options of the iphone are simply awesome. I use HootSuite and I had some problems when I download TweetDeck awhile back. But now I feel like I must be the only goof that gets an email every time someone follows me. LOL Really l guess I’m just an old fashioned gal.

Thanks for the great tip. I haven’t used TweetDeck in a few months. I didn’t even know about the update for the friends list. I upgraded and added the list as followed. It worked great and it looks like a great tool to use to research your new followers.
