Twitter Takes to the Big Screen in Katy Perry’s Movie – Part of Me

Until now, the majority of what the world knows about Katy Perry has come through gossip magazines and websites. While the singer is hardly a recluse, she isn’t known for spilling her guts in tell-all interviews. All of that changes with the debut of her new movie. The film, which is called “Part of Me,” hit the theaters on July 4th of this summer. It chronicles her life on and off the stage, and it touches upon her whirlwind marriage to Russell Brand and subsequent divorce. In addition to all of that, it is a 3D movie. Once it makes it out on DVD, anyone who owns a 3D TV will be able to bring Katy Perry right into their living rooms.

A Backstage Pass in Your Local Theater

“Part of Me” essentially grants moviegoers a backstage pass to Katy Perry’s life. In addition to showcasing how she prepares for concerts and how she conducts herself professionally, the show provides a rare glimpse into the singer’s personal. People who are undecided about whether they like the singer or not are sure to be swayed by the movie, which allows the talented young singer to shine in a very revealing way.

An Incredible Work Ethic

Despite her bubble-gum persona, Katy Perry has earned a great deal of respect within the industry for her exceptional work ethic. “Part of Me” puts that work ethic on full display and allows audiences to see a whole new side to the lovely songstress. The movie also delves into her marriage to Brand: the separation and divorce that followed quickly on its heels, showing a more vulnerable side to Perry as well. Fans and even those who aren’t will be pleasantly surprised by what they discover on the screen.

Twitter Takes Center Stage

One of the most unique things about “Part of Me” is the way in which it shows Perry putting Twitter to use. Throughout the movie, Perry tweets to her fans and reads posts from them. She uses the popular social media site to stay connected, and its prominence in this movie is sure to make the site even more popular. It may even encourage other celebs to become more active on the site as well. Whether you check out “Part of Me” in theaters, or if you wait to watch it at home on your 3D TV, you are sure to be spellbound.

Wonderful review. I loved the Twitter element in the piece. I’d like to see the movie even though I’m not familiar with Katy Perry’s work. At least, I don’t think I am.
