So the clocks went forward an hour and it was the start of British Summer Time and as usual for us in the UK we had a gorgeous day, but, for the last two days we have had nothing but rain, it’s even raining now as I type, it’s just so miserable.
What makes it worse is we have had a prediction of snow! Has all the weather gone mad, I can just imagine what the summer will be like this year, a couple of days of nice sunshine followed by rain, high winds and probably more snow….
Now don’t get me wrong I don’t mind a bit of rain, but it just never seems to go, I remember when I was a child the summer school holidays were great, playing out till the late hours in the sunshine, paddling in the blow up paddling pool and enjoying the lovely hot sunny weather. Now-a-days kids seem to be stuck indoors because it raining so much, they can’t go out and then all they do is stick themselves in front of the TV and just become very anti-social….
My how things have changed!

A Typical Start to British Summer Time!…

An honest post Karen, what I find is that during work the sunshine is out and it looks glorious but as soon as it comes to the weekend the black clouds settle in and it starts to chuck it down!
It’s not too bad down here in the south at the moment but it still isn’t beach weather!

The further up North the worse it’s going to be, according to the weather reports, so hopefully you should miss out on the bad weather in the south

Summer always brings in a sad time of year for me
It means that tanning season and the limousine season come to a screeeeeeching halt here in sunny Florida, and depending on how long the summer lasts business can be terrible. I hate the summer, haha.
We did do the clock changing thing a couple of weeks back, I am finally feeling better from the time loss.

It’s the complete opposite for me. The party rental business picks up big time for me. Maybe you should buy a few bounce houses and do them in the summer? The only problem is that the FL market is pretty saturated and there is a nice price war going on.

You need crappy weather like we have in the UK to keep your business’ running all year round
The weather did the same thing for me in Michigan. We had sunny weather in the 60′s and then the next day we had snow. We went from grilling outside to hibernating again. I think it’s safe to say that the snow is gone for us now. It’s going to be 77 degrees Thursday.

You missed out on the party. I sent you an invite. Perfect weather, a lot of food and a jousting tournament on my new bounce house. Woop woop!

It is always lovely to take pic in rain situation — it give me a great feeling. Of course, if it is not heavy rain.

The weather is so twisted these days…I am also imagining being in the summer and walking in the sun and suddenly it is starting to snow, and I pretty sure this type of weather ain’t that far…and it also annoys me when all the week is sunny and in the weekends is starting to rain
That picture must have been taken on the south coast – a shingle beach. Yes, it’s pouring down here too.

I believe this picture was taken in Brighton (hence the old burned down pier). I live around 10 minutes away from it so that is why I recognise it =P

Don’t talk to me about Rain…well right now it haven’t rain in weeks…and its like 36 degrees celcius here (97F) butwhen it rains…it pours. Remember we just had a record rainfall last year…13 inches of rain in 6 hours! Thats like a month average already.

I love fresh air, if I could I’d do my job outside in a park
)). I also love the air after a hard rain, mmm it’s so refreshing. I agree with you Karen that nowadays children become more and more anti-social with all this technology around them. I’ve noticed that even if it’s sunny, they’d rather play on their computer than go out playing with their friends. Let’s hope things will get better soon
