Yeah, I did resubmit my Sitemap after changing structure. Actually, Now I saw that links are coming but not directly on SERP, we need to click “+ More results from Blogsolute.com” and hidden results drop down.
However, Custom search page is giving instant updates.

i have this site which uses ugly permalinks. i have trying for months to change it. when i activate this and change structure, it doesnt work. can anyone please please help me ??

This is why this is useful in conjunction with a Google sitemap plugin. If you are generating and submitting new sitemaps after you update the permalinks, Google will crawl them pretty quickly.

Okay, I am also using the same plugin. I have no problem if re indexing takes time but I am worried about no-indexing of newly posted articles.

It all takes time for Google to re-index your new URLs, but if you do have a plugin that uses a 301 redirects then you will not lose your link juice and the old links that Google has listed will re-direct to the new links anyway.

How much time does changing the URL in Google results take?
Did you face any downtime during this change?
Personally, I am facing problems since I have changed permalink structure using ylsy permalink redirect plugin. Some of the old articles’ URL structure is however changing but new posts aren’t getting indexed

Hi John, I agree that I like to see real evidence of people using a plugin before I jump on the bandwagon. However, if I can’t find any reliable reviews or information, I’ve got a test site that I use solely for trying out new plugins before using them on any live sites. That way I can do my own evaluation and not have to wait for someone else to post about it.

Great option. Honestly had a link issue that this would have served two months ago during a server migration for two of my WP sites. So much has gone on since I got involved in WP 2.5 years ago, everyone mentioning what works on ‘their’ blog read regularly means so much more than the tons of sites generating plugins.

You trust someone more who you read regularly than one of many hawking plugins. Sometimes it gets to look like MLM for link-in: use my plug-in, but only if you link back.

I’d rather see someone mention it works first before installing it on my site, like what you’ve done here. Just sayin’.

Luckily, my wordpress site has been set to ‘/%postname%/’ at the outset. But just the same, this plugin is worth remembering as I’ll never know when a friend or my boss would be setting me to rework some old wordpress blog’s permalink system.
