Thank you for this article–I wasn’t even sure what “Vetting” meant, but you cleared it up for me. It’s tough when you are trying to create a following and you don’t have very many followers, but it is important to follow those that you have common interests with; especially when trying to use it to build a business. I agree–SocialOomph is the answer!!

I wondered what the “Klout” meant when I see it on people’s profile but only in apps like TweetCaster and I think, Hootsuite. Thanks for answering that for me.

Karen, cant put more nicely than this. This is a technique for some and not for others. After reading your post, I started checking the list of my followers and the list of people whom I follow. Earlier, I used to follow back whoever follows me, but when I did a random check I found so many fake and bot profiles this time. Thanks for this alarming information. I would have never known the existence of socialoomp and honestly i dont know a thing about twitter klout. You have really given me some work to do now. Thanks heading to socialoomph right away.. not sure whose gonna get axed

Karen first Thanks for leaving a comment I responded and I’m not desperate for page views LOL I just wanted to say I appreciate it
Now Twitter. I unfollowed over 7000 people in one day because I go tired of scrolling down page after page to see someone I actually knew ex Bloggers. I had all kinds of people. Now and not in the SNOB mode I decided on my own acct I will only follow 100 people or less. I do sometimes feel bad to unfollow a blogger but quite honestly many are not worth following. Now I just wish twitter would jack Facebooks @ so I can @r and see rembeats @ j and see my friends etc. I also don’t use anything APPS other then twitter itself when you send out a post using hootsuite etc look at the Alexa your on their site and the people that may see your post are on their site I recently told this blogger dude I got to unfollow you because DAMN you auto tweet the same crap 24/7 they didn’t care and neither did I let him catch suckers with that nonsense. I think Bloggers are very sensitive sometimes the littlest and stupidest things will keep someone from coming back. I like your style your like a sweetheart. Today reminded me of way back when you were EVERYWHERE I know you were working hard, the reality is everyone can see what we do and don’t do, I hope your taking some time to enjoy life and the weather.
