Definitely that, although if you see a very good comment, it doesn’t hurt to look for a permalink and see if it can be stumbled.

I want to install that Top Commentators plug-in, but I’m also on “I want as few plug-ins as possible” and “don’t crowd the sidebar” tangents. I think I’ve committed to rewarding my readers in other ways – stumbles, subscriptions, posting links to their blogs in my posts, etc.

But yeah, in response to someone asking if the Top Commentators feature works, it does – I get noticed at other blogs because of it.

Regarding your comment above about loading speed, Your blog loaded VERY slowly for me today but clicking around went pretty fast.

wp-stats and wordpress.com stats are heavily memory and database intensive as they constantly have to read and write to your SQL database, they will cause blog performance issues under high blog load. I had to remove them from causing outages on my blog during peak load times.

I’ve heard a few blogger say it slows their blogs down, I might give the blog a test without WP-Stats and see if it improves my blogs speed
