The late Adam West returns as the 60s caped crusader in a new adventure from Warner Bros. Animations in an animated movie, a sequel to the 2016 hit animated film Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders, that brings the comedy and campness of the 60s TV series back to life with bat-tastic flare.
With a device created to remove evil from criminal’s minds goes wrong, Gotham City’s D.A, Harvey Dent (William Shatner) is transformed into the sinister Two-Face, add to the mix the criminal craziness of The Joker, The Penguin and The Riddler, it’s down to the Dynamic Duo to save the day.
With the help of Catwoman to help Batman and Robin to unravel Two-Face’s plan.
As with all the DC Animated Movies, the animation is brilliantly colourful and crisp, Batman Vs. Two-Face even has those tilted scenes that many of us growing up learned to love from the TV show, plus having Adam West returning as Batman along with Burt Ward as Robin, gives the movie the feeling of being a kid again and watching the TV Show.
But it’s not only West and Ward that return to their roles, Julie Newmar reprises her role as Catwoman, it’s like the gang is all back together again, ah memories. Speaking of Catwoman, listen out for the vocal talents of Batman: The Movie’s Catwoman, Lee Meriweather, as Lucilee Diamond.
William Shatner is perfectly cast as Harvey Dent/Two-Face and is vocal prowess comes across brilliantly during his onscreen moments as he goes up against the dynamic duo.
Add to the movie those moments of the Bat-Sign coming back and forth between scenes, the occasional words popping up during fight scenes, those moments from Robin with his “holy ….. Batman” and of course Batman explaining what’s happening etc. this movie is one that has been a joy to review and watch.
