We have some exciting news for horror fans with the news of a new horror, Emerald Cottage! Independent filmmaker Jason Brown, based in Nottinghamshire, primarily creates films in the horror genre. He has written, directed, and produced several low-budget horror films, including Ghost Track (2022) and Creep Encounters (2024). Both films are currently available for streaming on Prime Video in the UK and the USA.
His films often draw inspiration from local folklore and personal experiences. He has received many positive reviews for his atmospheric storytelling and innovative cinematography.
Filmed in rural England, the movie combines tension with psychological dread, offering a fresh perspective enhanced by haunting visuals and a standout performance from Charlotte Wallis. Emerald Cottage looks set to become a must-see in the psychological horror genre.
A dark thriller set in England at the end of World War II. Nancy is an undertaker’s assistant who unexpectedly takes a job in a remote rural area, far from home. She is responsible for preparing the body of a young girl who has died under mysterious circumstances. Isolated in a cottage with the body, Nancy begins her work for the wake, only to discover that things are not what they seem.
Emerald Cottage is written & directed by Jason Brown with Cinematography by Paul Barker, and stars Charlotte Wallis (Ultra Pure, Alone), Sean Kanan (Cobra Kai, Studio City) and Kitty Sudbery (Borley Rectory: The Awakening, Cinderella’s Curse).
