The excitement is building up for season 20 of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here and prior to the launch of the new series Ant & Dec will be bringing us I’m A Celebrity…A Jungle Story.
It was fantastic news when it was announced that the wonderful Gwrych Castle is going to be the venue for this year’s I’m A Celebrity, the castle which I spent many a day at during my childhood is situated in a tree-lined hillside overlooking the Irish Sea. The atmospheric and spooky ruined castle with its sprawling design and turrets is spread across 250 acres of gardens and grounds.
The adapted version of I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here! will still be hosted by Ant & Dec and will go live every night on ITV from the castle this Autumn. As on the regular reality TV series, viewers will see the celebrities undertake gruelling trials and fun-filled challenges to win food and treats in the lead up to one of them being crowned, for the first time ever, King or Queen of the Castle.
Lord Elis-Thomas, The Welsh Government Deputy Minister for Culture, Sport and Tourism said “We’re extremely pleased to welcome such a large production to Wales, offering a chance to showcase a spectacular part of our country to significant audiences across the UK. We’re looking forward to working with the team on this production and hope to use this opportunity to show some of what North Wales has to offer.”
Andrew White, Director Wales, National Lottery Heritage Fund said: “We have been delighted to support Gwrych Castle and it is great to hear it will be having its moment in the limelight. The series will be a wonderful opportunity to showcase the beauty of north Wales as well as show how a historic building can engage a modern audience in innovative ways. We hope it will help to boost support for the castle in the long term.”
There have been many negative things being posted by some of the newspapers even the local ones, which no doubt have been doing so just to try and get click-bait on social media and here at Blazing Minds we have kept clear of the false news and that’s why we haven’t posted up much about the show, we have brought you the Ant & Dec travel news, but that about it really. We will be following the show this year as Gwrych Castle is only done the road, you can actually see it from Blazing Minds HQ, so we feel it only right to bring you updates on the website.
