Five Terrible TV and Movie Celebrity Couples and the Simple Lesson They Teach
Despite what much of the media would have you believe, celebrities are people too. Their relationships end just as bad as ours and often for similar reasons. We spoke with our friends at FameGame.com about TV and Movie celebs that have been in let’s say interesting relationships Here are five celebrity relationships that ended for reasons many of us will relate to.
1. Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne
Love seemed real, with this particular celebrity couple. Married for 35 years, they had clearly been through a lot together. So their 2015 split obviously caused a surprise for many fans and admirers. The reason for this was sadly one of the more common reasons for celebrity breakups, cheating.
Unless you are in an open relationship, cheating will never be condoned. No matter how strong you think your relationship is, this might just be the thing that brings it down.
2. Madonna and Sean Penn
This power couple of 80’s looked good on the outside, but everything was not as it seemed. It came out eventually that Sean Penn was a very abusive husband. According to Madonna he would beat, threaten, and torture her, and one incident ended with her being chased out of their hotel room. After four and a half years of this, she finally divorced him.
Abuse in any form should never exist in a relationship and neither party should have to tolerate it. if this exists in your relationship, it is a clear sign that you are a victim and you have to leave as soon as possible.
3. Nicole Kidman and Tom Cruise
Tom Cruise has surely received a lot of grief for his religious choice in Scientology, which has affected all areas of his life including his relationships. His marriage with Nicole Kidman was the first relationship casualty of this choice. Their sudden divorce, after 11 years of marriage, apparently arose due to religious differences between the two.
Religion is often a big part of a person’s identity. The inability to accommodate each other’s religious beliefs is enough to ruin any relationship. Instead, couples should communicate and find a middle ground.
4. Lindsay Lohan and Samantha Ronson
No stranger to media scandal, Lindsay Lohan’s relationship with Samantha Ronson was a public affair. It was rife with public fights, insults over social media, and public accusations of infidelity. The two apparently struggled with a party lifestyle which included a lot of drugs and out of control behaviour.
No one that can be described as ‘out of control’ will ever be able to maintain a loving relationship. Each person in a relationship must first get their lives together before entering a relationship with another person.
5. Angelina Jolie and Billy Bob Thornton
The two relationship between these two was certainly interesting. During their relatively short marriage, they displayed their love by buying two funeral plots next to each other, getting match tattoos, and of course, wearing vials of each other’s blood. Their marriage eventually fell apart in 2003 due to differences over the fact that she wanted children and he did not. Each person has a priority and objective when they enter into a relationship. If these don’t match that relationship is unlikely to last.
