The multi-award-winning team behind the cult hit Dead Air (2019) Peter Hearn (writer/producer) & Geoff Harmer (director/producer) announce their collaboration with multi-award-winning New York actress & creator Candice Palladino (Blink, The Great Charade, It’s Daisy May), for the new spooky comedy-horror web series FRIGHTSEERS now almost 50% funded on Indiegogo.

Written by award-winning filmmaker Peter Hearn (Scrawl starring Star Wars: The Force Awakens Daisy Ridley), FRIGHTSEERS consists of 42 female-led, interconnecting live-action webisodes and audio dramas. Inspired by GHOSTBUSTERS, EXTRA ORDINARY, THE BURBS, British Sitcoms of the 1980s, Public Information Films of the 1970s, along with web series such as THE GUILD and DR. HORRIBLE’S SING-A-LONG BLOG, FRIGHTSEERS is best described as Agatha Christie with ghosts.

With a gaggle of ghouls and ghosts realised entirely with practical effects including a 7ft tall DEATH puppet built by props master Dugg Daynes (Hank), the aim is to produce a fun, frightening and fantastical series alongside educating the next generation of filmmakers at Andover College where Hearn and Harmer are lecturers via a group of episodes written especially for them.

Frightseers is set to star Annabella Rich (Eating Miss Campbell), Amber Doig-Thorne (Winne the Pooh: Blood and Honey), Charlie Bond (Powertool Cheerleaders vs the Boyband of the Screeching Dead), Candice Palladino, and Jennifer Bradley (Psych) alongside a talented ensemble of talented British artists.

Frightseers plans to film throughout 2024 in various places around the UK.
Award-winning director, Geoff Harmer (Smile, Dead Air), is set to direct most episodes with alongside other British guest directors. The Director of Photography is Nathan Mountain with sound & music from Taylor Lawton-Bryant who both co-run Ravenwolf Productions.

To date, the series has raised £6,787 of its £15,000 goal. To donate click here.
