We have some more Film Festival news for you today as the critically acclaimed new film, Sasquatch Sunset, will have its UK Premiere at Sundance Film Festival London on 8th June, followed by special previews from 10th June, before releasing across UK cinemas on 14th June from Icon Film Distribution.
Beginning in the misty forests of North America, a family of Sasquatches – possibly the last of their enigmatic kind – will embark on an absurdist, epic, hilarious, and ultimately poignant journey. Over the course of a year these shaggy and noble giants fight for survival as they find themselves on a collision course with the ever-changing world around them.
Starring Riley Keough (Mad Max: Fury Road, American Honey) and Academy Award-Nominee Jesse Eisenberg (Zombieland, The Social Network), acclaimed directors David and Nathan Zellner (Kumiko, the Treasure Hunter) bring audiences the greatest Bigfoot story ever told, from the producers of Hereditary and Midsommar.
Scoring rave reviews following the World Premiere at the 2024 Sundance Film Festival, with screenings at the 74th Berlin International Film Festival and South by Southwest, the film has earned an impressive $500k over its second weekend at the US box office. Sasquatch Sunset is touted to be the most talked about film of the summer and undoubtedly one of the most daring, fresh and original films of recent times.
