The sequel to the 2022 horror “Smile” is on its way and today we bring you the news of the new trailer, poster art and an image from the upcoming aptly named Smile 2 which is heading to cinemas in October.
In the first movie, Dr. Rose Cotter starts experiencing frightening occurrences that she can’t explain after witnessing a bizarre, traumatic incident involving a patient. As an overwhelming terror begins taking over her life, Rose must confront her troubling past to survive and escape her horrifying new reality.
The 2022 movie was a supernatural psychological horror written and directed by Parker Finn in his feature film debut, based on his 2020 short film Laura Hasn’t Slept. We were introduced to the main character Dr. Rose Cotter (play by Sosie Bacon) and a rather freaky scene with a new patient who tells Rose that she can see things and people that aren’t there, even her dead uncle, this sets up the premise for the entire film.
The sequel brings us a new character and a returning one, about to embark on a new world tour, global pop sensation Skye Riley (Naomi Scott) begins experiencing increasingly terrifying and inexplicable events. Overwhelmed by the escalating horrors and the pressures of fame, Skye is forced to face her dark past to regain control of her life before it spirals out of control.

Writer and director Parker Finn is returning to the franchise Smile 2 will be produced by Marty Bowen, Wyck Godfrey, Isaac Klausner, Parker Finn and Robert Salerno. The movie will also star Naomi Scott, Rosemarie DeWitt, Kyle Gallner, Lukas Gage, Miles Gutierrez-Riley, Peter Jacobson, Raúl Castillo, Dylan Gelula and Ray Nicholson.

Smile 2 is set for a cinema release on the 18th of October 2024, we’ll bring you more news as and when we have it, plus a review upon its release later this year, so keep your eyes peeled.
