Cineworld Secret Screaming 8 – What Could the Movie Be!

Cineworld has just announced Secret Screaming 8, which is set to take place at a Cineworld near you on July 7th. As this marks the eighth instalment in the Secret Screaming series, it’s time to speculate about which film will be featured. The age certificate for the upcoming screening is currently listed as 15 on the website, which could be a bit of a red herring. Although the runtime is noted as 90 minutes, this might be misleading. For reference, the previous Secret Screaming, which was shown on June 2nd, was Dangerous Animals.

I always find secret screenings incredibly exciting. We have no idea what the movie will be as we enter the cinema, and we love the surprise. The Cineworld Secret Screaming is open to non-Unlimited members, so now everyone gets the chance to experience the same treat that we Unlimited Members enjoy during the Unlimited Secret Screenings from time to time.

With the news of the Cineworld Secret Screaming 8, we thought we would take the opportunity to see what film could be shown for the latest “Screaming” for 2025 but with not much being released in the horror genre during June it seems that we only have a few choices of what the movie could be, we will update the page if there are any other movies that could be popping up.

I Know What You Did Last Summer (July 18)

A group of friends is terrorised by a stalker who knows about a gruesome incident from their past. The movie is directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson and stars Madelyn Cline, Chase Sui Wonders and Jonah Hauer-King.

The Home (Jul 25)

Follows Max, who realises that the residents and caretakers in the retirement home where he started working hide sinister secrets.

A brother and sister uncover a terrifying ritual at the secluded home of their new foster mother. Bring Her Back is directed by Danny Philippou and Michael Philippou, who brought us Talk To Me at one of the previous Secret Screenings!

Check out our Bring Her Back review.

Together (Jul 30)

Years into their relationship, Tim and Millie find themselves at a crossroads as they move to the country. With tensions already flaring, an encounter with an unnatural force threatens to corrupt their lives, their love, and their flesh.

Our wildcard options

This is where we take a moment to cross our fingers and hope that it could be a much-awaited release that is in the distance, hence them being wildcards.

Weapons (Aug 8)

When all but one child from the same class mysteriously vanish on the same night at exactly the same time, a community is left questioning who or what is behind their disappearance.

That’s our thought on what the Cineworld Secret Screaming 8 could be. It could even be something very unexpected! But with not many other horrors being released in June, these are our predictions (at the moment).

You don’t have to be an Unlimited Member to go for this night out, but if you want to make the best of cinema with discounts, film previews and more, then become a member now.
