It’s been a bit if a buzz lately on the look of the return of the Ice Warrior in Doctor Who, SFX magazine released a post earlier, but it was quickly taken down to comply with a midnight embargo.
As I am a big fan of Doctor Who I have been following the stories closely and of course I’m going to be joining in with the many blogs and websites that will sharing the new design of the Ice Warrior with you, suffice to say, I do like the look and it still looks really menacing.
The overall size of the Ice Warrior looks superb and let’s face it, when it comes to these types of Doctor Who monsters there is only going to be one guy that can take on the part of such a large scary monsters, but more on that later…
Ice Warrior back in Doctor Who in April in Episode 3
So as we all countdown to the return of Doctor Who on March 30th, the Ice Warrior itself will not be back until episode 3, it’s great to have one of the iconic monsters back and with this year being the 50th anniversary of Doctor Who, it’s perfect timing to have a new designed Ice Warrior hitting the screens.
Now the other question is, who have they got playing this foreboding monster? Any ideas anyone?

UPDATE: The Ice Warrior Brings In 5.7 Million Viewers In Cold War
So last night, the Ice Warrior finally hit our TV screens in the episode, Cold War, suffice to say with Mark Gatiss, behind the episode it was guaranteed a success and it went down a storm.
My good friend, Spencer Wilding, did a superb job as the Ice Warrior with his menacing size and build, the character returned to out screens after almost 40 years in what has been described as an outstanding episode in the series so far.
With its sinister overtones and a harken back to the old days of Doctor Who, with the TARDIS, ending up in the wrong place like it used to, rather than materializing in Vegas, Clara and the Doctor end up in the 80s on a Russian submarine.
After the previous weeks episode, which Whovians found a bit of a let down, Cold War has sparked new interesting in the last few episodes of this series, it’ll be interesting how the next story featuring Dougray Scott pans out.
So what did you think of “Cold War” and what are your thoughts on the new Ice Warrior costume?
