We’ve been waiting for this one to come along and today Sony Pictures Entertainment released the brand new trailer for Venom starring Tom Hardy, with the tagline “The world has enough superheroes“.
One of Marvel’s most enigmatic, complex and badass characters comes to the big screen, starring Academy Award® nominated actor Tom Hardy as the lethal protector Venom.
The new trailer shows us more of Hardy’s character, the washed-up journalist Eddie Brock and so much more of Venom in what looks like a full action-packed movie in the Venom in Sony’s Spider-Man universe. It will be interesting to see if Tom Holland’s Spider-Man that we have seen in the recent Marvel movies Spider-Man: Homecoming and Avengers: Infinity War, will be making an appearance in Sony’s Spider-Man universe. Personally, I would love to see the two clash on the big screen.
Venom stars Tom Hardy (Legend, Mad Max) with Michelle Williams (Manchester by the Sea), Riz Ahmed (Rogue One), Scott Haze (Midnight Special) and Reid Scott (Veep, The Big C). The film is directed by Ruben Fleischer (Zombieland) and to add to the superhero feel, the soundtrack is by Black Panther composer Ludwig Göransson.
Venom New IMAX Poster and Trailer Released
If you weren’t all excited for the release of Venom already, today we’ve had the news of the new IMAX poster and IMAX trailer for the movie.

The crystal-clear images, coupled with IMAX’s customised theatre geometry and powerful digital audio, create a unique environment that will make audiences feel as if they are in the movie.
We can’t wait for the movie to hit the big screens here in the UK on 5 October 2018, we’ll bring you more news on Venom as and when we get it, but for now, just enjoy the new trailer again…. Go On…. You know you want to.
