We have some DVD release news today as Rendered Pictures which was founded in 2015 by husband and wife team Amanda and Neil Rowe whose latest sci-fi horror feature film Alien Outbreak has been remastered and released on DVD in the USA, it is also out now at Amazon.com.
Alien Outbreak Remastered is an award-winning British sci-fi horror feature film written and directed by award-winning VFX artist and filmmaker Neil Rowe (Robot World) with a soundtrack composed by Amanda Rowe (Robot World).
In a small rural community, local police officers Zoe (Katherine Drake) and Patrick (Ritchie Crane) begin their shift as normal but it soon becomes clear that something is wrong. Strange events unfold before their eyes, residents begin behaving strangely and mass suicide panic spreads amongst the community they are trying to protect. Zoe and Patrick realise they are under siege from alien machines as they become cut off from the outside world. They are forced to do battle against these uninvited visitors. With the help of some of the residents Zoe and Patrick begin unravelling the mystery and soon discover it is not all as it seems. Can Zoe and Patrick save their community and the outside world from extinction?
Alien Outbreak has been described as a taut, tightly-paced film that blends horror and action tropes to perfection. Horror insomuch that the effects of the alien invasion are terrifying and there are plenty of blood-filled FX scenes. Action in that Alien Outbreak, for a lot of its running time, takes place in one location – in a similar style to “under siege” films like Assault of Precinct 13 or Fort Apache: The Bronx. – Phil Wheat from Nerdly Online’
