Ashley Stacey is a singer/songwriter from South East London. He released his debut album “The sun still shines on you” in September 2020 with amazing reviews and very high praise.

Ashley’s originals have had support from the BBC Radio, Indie Rocks UK and various FM stations nationwide.

Ashley Stacey has earned several opportunities to appear on BBC Radio shows, performing live tracks and discussing his songwriting Ashley has also been added to “This Feeling’s Best New Bands Playlist 2021”.

On reviewing this great upbeat track, I can hear a lot of elements from various British artists, from various eras. I would say there are elements of The Beatles from their Revolver album, along with the likes of Oasis, as well as other British acts. The songwriting of this particular track is amazing, it really draws you in, and has you listening to every single word. It is a belter of an upbeat track.

Think everyone can relate to this track “when you’re staring down at your screen, beaming to another place”. Let’s face it we do spend a lot of our time staring at our phone screens, and are on another planet being sucked into the world wide web.

Fantastic vocals by Ashley throughout, kind of influences between Liam Gallagher, John Lennon, Richard Ashcroft and even Bono from U2.

I really enjoyed listening to this track, it is definitely a catchy track, and the guitar riffs you hear throughout are amazing. Sometimes when you hear the percussion of drums within certain tracks, it can overwhelm the track, and to be honest this track does not do that all.

We can all definitely relate to this track, and actually imagine what story it is telling us.

I would definitely propose downloading/streaming this track on all platforms, and giving Ashley Stacey a follow on all social media platforms.

I know I will be giving him a follow, and listening to more of his music. Definitely an artist to look out for, especially when at live gigs.
