So a few months ago, I took the step to finally go with SkyHD, moving away from my old Sky+ box and moving into the world of HD, something I haven’t looked back on since making the move.
Recently a new channel started on Sky called Lifetime, which is a collection of old and new shows and one particular show which was a favourite of mine many years ago, [amazon_link id=”B000X41AY8″ target=”_blank” container=”” container_class=”” ]The X-Files[/amazon_link].
I used to watch the show religiously when it first came out and those nine seasons were a pure escape from the normal world.
So you can imagine my excitement when Lifetime (channel 156 on Sky and Virgin 242) started and they had The X-Files from Season 1 Episode 1, Pilot.

It is quite strange watching it in a 4×3 ratio after so many years of being conditioned to 16×9 but hey, it’s just great to relive those Spooky Mulder and Scully days, I am hoping that Lifetime have all 9 seasons, now that would be awesome.

It is great having all those memories racing back from the years spent watching the series though.
New Shows To UK TV With Lifetime
A show I had heard a lot about was Witches of East End, at first it looked a bit like Charmed, even the house looked similar, but the show has got me hooked, even after the first episode.

The show is an American fantasy drama television series based on the novel of the same name by Melissa de la Cruz. Lifetime announced its intention to film a television pilot of the series in autumn of 2012, with filming taking place in Macon, Georgia and Wilmington, North Carolina. On January 31, 2013, Lifetime confirmed that they were ordering ten episodes with the intention of airing Witches of East End later that same year. The series stars Julia Ormond, Jenna Dewan-Tatum, Rachel Boston, and Mädchen Amick. The series premiered after Drop Dead Diva on October 6, 2013. – Wikipedia
So I am now hooked to The Witches of East End and also back being hooked to The X-Files, no doubt I will also get watching a lot of the other new shows that the channel has in its line-up.
But for now, these two programmes are set in to my Sky+ planner with the series link attached so that I don’t miss an episode from both of them.
