Wicked‘s reign atop the Official Film Chart lasted five weeks, but Bridget Jones has now claimed the top spot in this week’s charts.
Bridget Jones: Mad About The Boy, the fourth and final film in the series, debuts at Number 1 this week. The Michael Morris-directed movie, adapted from Helen Morris’s 2013 novel of the same name, sees Bridget (Renée Zellweger) navigate love, loss and life as a single parent.

Elsewhere, Mufasa: The Lion King makes its mark at Number 4. Directed by Barry Jenkins and starring the likes of Aaron Pierre (Mufasa), Kelvin Harrison Jr. (Taka) and Tiffany Boone (Sarabi), Walt Disney Pictures’ live action blockbuster serves as both a prequel and sequel to 2019’s The Lion King, and the animated 1994 original.

2024 body horror The Substance bags a brand-new entry at Number 5 this week. The acclaimed film sees once-celebrated Hollywood star Elisabeth Sparkle (Demi Moore) enticed by ‘The Substance’; a black-market drug promising a ‘younger, more beautiful, more perfect’ version of its subscriber. What could possibly go wrong?
Other new entries this week come courtesy of Nicole Kidman and Harris Dickinson’s erotic thriller Babygirl (8) and rom-com Anyone But You, starring Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell (9).
