Captain America is back and this time something is going on in the depths of S.H.I.E.L.D. With the introduction of The Winter Soldier everything is about to go ballistic for Steve Rogers and the world of S.H.I.E.L.D.
We’ve all been waiting for the 2nd in the Captain America movies from Marvel and they haven’t disappointed us with this sequel, its action packed, blasting out some eye-popping 3D and has so many “Easter Egg” nods to Marvel characters during the film, but I won’t mention them here, spoilers sweetie.
Suffice to say watch out for some cunning little mentions etc during the film and a rather nice nod to “Pulp Fiction“!
Before we get started, does anyone want to get out? – Steve Rogers
As with all the Marvel movies we know what we are going to get from them, with Chris Evans reprising his role as Steve Rogers (Captain America) and joining him Black Widow (played by Scarlett Johansson), Nick Fury (played by Samuel Jackson) and Falcon (played by Antony Mackie) they go up against The Winter Soldier (played by Sebastian Stan)
With some nice touches thrown in to tie in the previous movie and other past and upcoming Marvel Movies, Captain America: The Winter Soldier is a must for any Marvel fan and is an exciting movie to watch.
It’s set action pieces are nicely done and the connection between the characters all flows nicely together, it’s certainly going to be the start of the “summer blockbusters” for this year and we are only in April!
Bringing in the Soviet agent known as The Winter Soldier is a really nice touch to the franchise and though the majority of us know who he is, it still works extremely well.
The 3D is used to well throughout the movie, thankfully without any of those poke you in the face scenes, that rally spoil a movie, it has depth and it us used brilliant in certain point of the film, which I won’t go into to much, don’t want to spoil it for you.
You need to keep BOTH eyes open. – Nick Fury
One thing which I have said and I do say this for all Marvel movies, is, do not leave your seat before the credits start, there are those that should know by now, but Marvel films have extra scenes to tie in with upcoming movies, such as Avengers: Age of Ultron, so stay for that, and stay after that, right at the end of the credits is another, so STAY PUT!
I have to say, I love the Marvel movie franchise and they never let me down for a few hours of movie magic, this one in particular was a fun ride, nice to see Robert Redford back on the big screen and those little “easter eggs” are brilliant, but don’t search for them on the internet, try to find them for yourselves first while watching the film, so much fun.
Let’s not forget a nod to the man himself, no not Captain America or The Winter Soldier, but the Generalissimo himself, Stan Lee, who has a rather funny cameo in this one, we salute you Generalissimo.
