Cineworld Secret Screaming 12 – What Could the Film Be!

Cineworld has announced Secret Screaming 12, which is set to take place at a Cineworld near you on January 10th. As this marks the 12th instalment in the Secret Screaming series, it’s time to speculate about which film will be featured. The age certificate for the upcoming screening is currently listed as 18 on the website, which could be a bit of a red herring. Although the runtime is noted as 90 minutes, this might be misleading. For reference, the previous Secret Screaming, which was shown on October 28th 2025, was Shelby Oaks.

I always find secret screamings to be incredibly exciting. As we enter the cinema, we have no idea what movie we’ll be watching, and we love the element of surprise. The Cineworld Secret Screaming is now open to both Unlimited and non-Unlimited members, allowing everyone the opportunity to enjoy the same thrilling experience we Unlimited Members have during our occasional Unlimited Secret Screenings.

With the news of the Cineworld Secret Screaming 12, we thought we would take the opportunity to see what film could be shown for the first “Screaming” for 2026 but with not much being released in the horror genre during the end of the month and bening of the next, it seems that we only have a few choices of what the movie could be, we will update the page if there are any other movies that could be popping up.

Possible Movie for the Cineworld Secret Screaming 12

28 Years Later: The Bone Temple (16th January)

No waiting around this time around – the 28 Days Later franchise continues on from its success with 28 Years Later last summer, with Nia DaCosta directing the next horror epic with Danny Boyle and Alex Garland co-producing alongside Peter Rice, Bernie Bellew, and Andrew Macdonald. A direct sequel to 28 Years Later, Spike is inducted into Sir Jimmy Crystal’s inner circle, while Dr Ian Kelson makes a discovery that could change the trajectory of the world.

Primate (30th January) – The Film Shown

There’s a reason wild animals shouldn’t be kept as pets, and English filmmaker Johannes Roberts is here to tell you why. When a family goes on a holiday to a tropical island, they decide to adopt a chimpanzee. Bitten by a rabid animal, the chimpanzee’s temperament soon changes with horrifying consequences.

Return to Silent Hill (23rd January) – Our Guess

When a mysterious letter calls him back to Silent Hill in search of his lost love, James finds a once-recognisable town and encounters terrifying figures both familiar and new, and begins to question his own sanity.

That’s our thoughts on what the Cineworld Secret Screaming 12 could be. It could even be something very unexpected!
