We’ve been waiting for ages to see The Conjuring 2, we loved The Conjuring when we first saw it back in 2013.
Directed by James Wan (Insidious, Furious 7), The Conjuring wasn’t another one of those atrocious, hand-held camera, Paranormal Activity style movies, it had more style than those, it was a “real” film with actors and not cheap bit part players. It also had a filmed style to make it feel like it was in the late 60’s early 70’s.

Patrick Wilson in The Conjuring (2013)
The first movie was based on a true story and of Carolyn (Lili Taylor) and Roger Perron (Ron Livingston) who moved their family in to a dilapidated Rhode Island farm-house only to find that strange things started to happen.
It’s great to see that Oscar nominee Vera Farmiga (“Up In the Air,” TV’s “Bates Motel”) and Patrick Wilson (the “Insidious” films) are reprising their roles as Lorraine and Ed Warren, who, in one of their most terrifying paranormal investigations, travel to north London to help a single mother raising four children alone in a house plagued by malicious spirits.

Andrea Perron wrote a three-part book based on her experiences in the house titled ‘House of Darkness, House of Light.’ Experiences written about in her book also appear in the film. Perron cites the film as a work of art and not a work of fiction. – IMDB
The film follows the phenomenal worldwide reception of Wan’s “The Conjuring” which marked the largest opening ever for an original horror movie. The film went on to make more than $319 million worldwide and still remains the second highest grossing original horror movie of all time, second only to “The Exorcist.”
