After suffering from a few days of an intense migraine, last night was the first good nights sleep I’d had in a while, but at around 4:15am I was woken by my bed shaking and the wardrobes doors rumbling as North Wales got yet another Earthquake.
The Earth Moved In The Latest North Wales Earthquake
The earthquake in the Irish see and was around nine miles away from Abersoch, Gwynydd, it had a magnitude of 3.8 on the Richter scale according to the British Geological Society (BGS).
Being woken up by an earthquake is a strange sensation, you are that point on whether you were dreaming it our it if it had really happened and then you think, “May be in was a heavy lorry going down the road!”.
But this earthquake we had here in North Wales was felt as far as Southport in Merseyside and reports this morning were coming in over an area of 86 miles of people feeling an “Intense Shaking” in the early hours.
According to reports made to the BGS Â more than 100 people reported that they felt the earthquake, the majority of the reports came from those living within a 60-mile radius of the epicenter.
“This is a larger-than-average earthquake. We get around one a year of this size. People have reported hearing an initial loud banging, followed by rumbling and intense shaking.”
