Just when you thought it was safe to head back to the seaside, along comes GREAT WHITE, a nerve-jangler survival thriller released 17th May on DVD and digital platforms in the UK and Ireland.
A tight, taut and terrifying viewing experience from the producers of Black Water: Abyss and Dog Soldiers, GREAT WHITE is a survival thriller that sees Katrina Bowden (Piranha 3DD, 30 Rock), Aaron Jakubenko (Spartacus) and Neighbours star Tim Kano, trapped on a drifting raft on the ocean – and at the mercy of some of the biggest, baddest and hungriest sharks ever seen on screen.
Synopsis: What should have been a trip to remember, quickly turns into a living nightmare when five passengers on a seaplane are stranded on a raft in the middle of the ocean. What follows is a desperate bid for survival as the group try to make it to land before they are taken by the man-eating sharks lurking just beneath the surface.
In the vein of 47 Meters Down and The Shallows, GREAT WHITE plays with our primal fear of the deep and the ruthless predators lurking in the oceans’ depths.
GREAT WHITE is produced by Michael Robertson and Neal Kingston, the team behind Black Water: The Abyss which Altitude is also representing for international sales, The Reef and Black Water. Michael Robertson’s credits include Black Water, The Reef, Road Kill and The Pack which has been described by the LA Times as “one of the rare thrillers to recognize how scary dogs can be”.
Neal Kingston’s credits include Nerve, as well as a producer on Australia’s longest-running television series Neighbours. Joining the Great White producing team is Chris Veerhuis who was most recently co-producer on the Simon Baker debut feature Breath. Robert Slaviero will serve as an Executive Producer.
Great White is being released on 17th May on DVD and digital platforms in the UK and Ireland.
