We got a great email through the other day about a new psychological horror “short” movie, In Limbo, produced by Wirksworth in Derbyshire based Nine Ladies Film.
We took a look at the movie that was “created to provide a new innovative fresh take on the horror genre“.
On the 4th October In Limbo premiered at The Northern Light Cinema, Wirksworth, Derbyshire and played for three consecutive nights, its inspiration came from the the Cannock Chase sightings of Black Eyed Children, now that sounds terrifying in itself doesn’t it!
The movie, directed by Stuart Wheeldon with Geraint Owen as Director of Photography, is the first in a trilogy of films, the next film, “The Telephone“, Â is currently in pre-production and is scheduled to start shooting in the early part of December 2015.
“The Telephone” is based around true poltergeist events and revolves around a married couple that move into a rural town and begin to experience poltergeist activity when they discover an old Bakelite telephone in the attic of their new house. Will they be able to stop the continuous ringing? Or will the ringing drive them to insanity. Sounds freaky!
Both Stuart and Geraint have worked together on a number of short film projects and In Limbo has been entered into a number of film festivals and as already been accepted into the Kinolit Film Festival in Russia, which is great news for the team behind the film.

When three friends decide to go away for the weekend, none of them counted on encountering the urban myth that is Black Eyed Children. Dreams are invaded and they must fight to save not only their physical bodies, which have been frozen in a trance-like state, but also their souls, which wander alone trapped In Limbo.
In Limbo stars Nigel Barber, who can be currently seen in Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation as  movie and the upcoming Spectre (Bond) movie. Bern Deegan (Hideaways, Honeymooners) a talented Irish actor who as appeared in award winning short films and theatre productions around the world joins him. The two female cast members are Rebekah Bowman (The Last of Her Blood) and Rachel Prince who are both starting out in their movie careers.
