We are excited to announce that blues-rock guitarist Jack J Hutchinson will be hitting the road this autumn with his power trio. They will be supporting the release of his brand-new live album, “Battle Scars,” which is set to come out in early October.
The album was recorded on Hutchinson’s recent UK Tour and builds on the momentum gained having shared bills across the planet with bands including Blackberry Smoke, Jeff Beck and King King. It features 10 tracks, including several taken from his most recent album ‘Battles’, which crash-landed in the Official UK Charts last year.
The record gained over 120K streams in its first week alone and featured two Planet Rock playlisted tracks – ‘Constellations’ and ‘Bullets’ – plus ‘Days Are Gone’, which was featured on the BBC Radio 2 Rock Show.
On Battle Scars, Jack says, “Some of my favourite albums are live records, whether it be Neil Young’s Weld or the Black Crowes and Jimmy Page Live at the Greek. We were fortunate to have the tapes rolling across two nights in London and Couldson on the ‘Battles’ tour, and the band, which featured Greg Smith and Phil Wilson on bass and drums, were absolutely cooking. It’s got an energy that’s impossible to recreate in a studio. I can’t wait for people to hear it.”
‘Battle Scars’ is available to pre-order via Eyesore Merch in a variety of bundles, including on blue and white splatter vinyl with signed art card, commemorative gig ticket and tour poster.

Hutchinson and his band will launch the live album with his most explosive shows yet. Expect lightning-fast fret work and sing-along choruses that smash the blues-rock template and bring it crash bang into 2025.
He will play 4 shows in support of British rock band FM, followed by 7 headline shows and an appearance at Carlisle Blues Rhythm and Rock Festival.
Jack says, “I love being in the studio, but it’s on stage where the songs truly come alive. There’s nothing better than that communal feeling of a live gig, where you and audience are singing songs together and connecting eye to eye. The tracks become heavier, we can extend certain songs, and the whole thing becomes a kind of spiritual experience. It’s basically one heck of a fun night out!”
