We break from the movie news to bring you some new music release news as the multi-talented country roots & rock ‘n’ roll duo Everette unveil their 6-track EP ‘Keys To Kentucky’, showcasing their stripped-back, back-to-basics style that has captivated live audiences, plus premiere the video for ‘Another Man Down’.
Kentucky natives Anthony Olympia and Brent Rupard, the dynamic duo behind Everette, return to their musical origins with ‘Keys To Kentucky’. The EP reflects the raw and authentic sound that first emerged in the college bars and honky-tonks of Bowling Green, KY.

Anthony Olympia reflects on the EP. “We’ve been playing songs like ‘High and Lonesome’ and ‘Keys To Kentucky’ on the road for a couple of years, and every time the crowd came undone…from the Grand Ole Opry to the dive bars in the middle of nowhere. The magic in those moments really got us thinking that we should give this unplugged thing more serious thought. We love cranking up our electric guitars, but we find that this unplugged arrangement lets our voices and the stories cut through a little easier.”
Brent Rupard added, “We’re leaning more organic and acoustic-driven. We stripped back all the flash and focused on a raw, live-in-the-studio sound. Resonator guitars, vintage acoustics, a drum set supplemented with aluminium baking pans, and meat-headed bass guitar. Junkyard orchestra with a few upscale instruments playing first chair.”
Entertainment Focus praised the EP, saying, “This EP is a powerful statement from Everette, showcasing their versatility, maturity, and deep connection to their musical roots.” Fatea Magazine echoed this sentiment, describing the EP as “Country music at its classiest best!”
The release of ‘Keys To Kentucky’ is accompanied by the premiere of the music video for ‘Another Man Down’, further illustrating Everette’s commitment to authentic storytelling through music. Rawramp said about the track “Another Man Down’ is a weathered requiem that delivers flecks of grizzle and wear. It features alligatoring rhythms, soft scuffs of guitar, and vocals that are expressive and powerfully impactful.”

Keys to Kentucky is available now on Digital Platforms.
