Kickstarter Launched For Extreme Horror Film ‘Abjection’

ABJECTION: The Movie – A story of flesh and blood.

ABJECTION is the debut film from filmmaker Villain, and is a grim and gripping fable of obsession and compulsion, a chilling and grisly puzzle box of twisted psychology and torn flesh.

With the film in pre-production the team behind the film are looking to raise funds through Kickstarter

Synopsis:

The client is anonymous – nothing but a phone number, setting terms one act of self destruction at a time. Two hundred pounds to cut yourself. Three hundred to chew a razor blade. Five hundred to bleed.

The girl herself is anonymous, too. Known only to the client, and barely to herself. She takes the requests, sets up her camera, and sheds her blood and flesh at the client’s command.

And then there is you. The viewer, completing the cycle of abjection. Your eyes on the girl and the client and the blood, watching in the dark as the sickness spreads across the screen. To avoid fainting, keep repeating, it’s only a movie, only a movie, only a movie …

Director’s quote: “This is a film about the female experience of objectification, and how our society reduces the marginalised into commodities to be bought and sold. I’m super excited that Datura, the lead actress, is also writing the film, and the issues we are exploring come from her experience, which she is trusting me to help turn into what we hope will be a challenging and insightful film.
