The Last Jedi Trailer: Will the Porg steal your heart?

The wait is finally over as The Last Jedi trailer has finally been released and the anticipation for the release of the movie on the 14 December is almost at a point of exploding. The countdown is now on to see Rey’s continuing journey after The Force Awakens.

The trailer features the voice over from Snoke (Andy Serkis) and we are treated to the sight of AT-ATs, space battles, Rey (Daisy Ridley) with the lightsaber and Luke (Mark Hamill) looking scared with the power that Rey possesses.

And let’s not forget the Porg (Porgs are small avians that flock about the rocks and roost in the cliffs of Luke Skywalker’s secluded island), a rather cute looking creature that is on the Falcon with Chewy. My hope is that the Porg isn’t going to be another Ewok or a Jar-Jar character that will just take away from the film and become something that is hated.

The trailer also gives us a teary look at Carrie Fisher as her last time as Leia and from the look of the trailer, the way it is cut anyway, this looks like it is going to an emotional part of The Last Jedi.

Carrie Fisher is even front and centre on the new poster for The Last Jedi.
