Great news for local Rhyl girl, Emily Roberts, as she has been chosen to perform in the Nutcracker Ballet when The State Academy Ballet of Belarus returns to the Rhyl Pavilion to perform the classic Russian ballet.
Local ballet student, Emily 14, who is passionate about dance has been chosen to be in the ballet is thrilled to be selected to perform with The State Academy Ballet of Belarus.
Emily has been performing since she was 3 years old with the North Wales Dance School of Dancing, she had represented Wales twice in the International Ballet Championships and she is very thrilled to be taking part in The Nutcracker with a professional company.
Amande Concerts present this favourite ballet to twenty-four venues across the UK. The tour will begin on Monday 28th of October and finish in the run-up to Christmas, on Saturday 23rd of November.
Tchaikovsky’s classic ballet has for generations enchanted audiences with its spectacular performance of music and dance. It is based on the story ‘The Nutcracker and the King of Mice’ by E. T. A. Hoffman, which follows the adventures of a young girl, Marie. Marie, who is given a Nutcracker doll for Christmas, enters a dreamlike land of magic where she soon discovers her Nutcracker prince and dances with beautiful snowflakes. Both children and adults cannot help but be captivated by Marie’s miraculous adventures.
The State Ballet Academy of Belarus will be coming to Rhyl, Pavillion Theatre to perform The Nutcracker on Wednesday 13 November 2013.
