I check out the new single Lovesick Fool by George Rowlands who comes from Shrewsbury, Shropshire, but has a singing voice very similar to Manchester-born, Mr Liam Gallagher. You can picture George in a parka, with the mic adjusted to be like Liam, and giving that kind of persona.

But George is far from being Liam Gallagher, even though he has previously been in a tribute band called ‘Oas-is’, George has gone solo, bringing you his latest track ‘Lovesick Fool’.

‘Lovesick Fool’ came out on the 2nd of April 2021, it is available for download and stream on various platforms. It is an absolute honour to review this track for George.

When the track initially starts, it gives a kind of ‘Country Rock’ vibe, and sets it up for a toe-tapping, head-bopping feel good ambiance.

Although the track is about being a ‘Lovesick Fool’, you get the sense you are going on a journey throughout this track. I, for one, can relate to this track, and I am sure many other music lovers or not, would relate to this track, one way or another.

I can honestly say that this track would be on my ‘go too’ playlist for heartbreak, or leading up to a heartbreak.
Basically, you are with a person for all the wrong reasons, and ‘it can go on and on and on’, and you need to walk away, pick yourself up, and move on. Yes, there is a likelihood this could happen to you again, as you are a ‘Lovesick Fool’, but you have got this, and you can get through it.

I am totally in love with this track, with the elements and tones of Liam Gallagher, Oasis in George’s tone in his voice, and throw in the ‘Country Rock’ at the beginning of the track, as well as elements from The Beatles, and the Lennon/McCartney songwriting elements, I honestly feel this is a track of excellence from the mastermind of George Rowlands.
