Acclaimed director Luis “Lou” Ferrer, known for his earlier scripts that Netflix and Spike Lee have optioned, delivers a gripping psychological thriller with his latest film, MIA, set to premiere in July 2025.
The film features powerful performances from Shah Motia (The Outside Man) and rising star Emiliana Jasper (Reckoning). MIA is an intense, mind-bending mystery that keeps audiences questioning reality until its final shocking moments.
At the heart of MIA is Aaron (Motia), a desperate man convinced that Emma (Jasper) is his long-lost daughter, Mia. The problem? Emma insists she’s never seen him before. As Aaron spirals between certainty and madness, his claims of a shared past blur the line between delusion and reality. Who is telling the truth? And who is truly in danger?
With a masterful slow-burn tension reminiscent of Prisoners and Gone Girl, Ferrer crafts a suspenseful, claustrophobic experience that unfolds like a psychological puzzle.
