I remember when the original Pet Sematary came out in 1989, it scared the heck out of me and to be honest, it still does.
But the news is well and truly out now of the new version of probably one of Stephen King’s most terrifying books, directed by Kevin Kölsch (Scream: The TV Series} and Dennis Widmyer, the new version of the movie will be hitting cinemas in 2019.
Louis Creed, his wife Rachel and their two children Gage and Ellie move to a rural home where they are welcomed and enlightened about the eerie ‘Pet Sematary’ located near their home. After the tragedy of their cat being killed by a truck, Louis resorts to burying it in the mysterious pet cemetery, which is definitely not as it seems, as it proves to the Creeds that sometimes, dead is better.

Pet Sematary 2019 film poster
Pet Sematary (2019) stars Jason Clarke (Zero Dark Thirty), John Lithgow (Interstellar, 3rd Rock from the Sun) and Amy Seimetz (Alien: Covenant), from the trailer it does look like its going to be more terrifying than the 1989 version, which still makes the hairs stand up on the back of my next!
