Following a vibrant and successful event last summer, Romford Pride, hosted by Kaleidoscope, is back to bring colour, creativity, and community to the heart of Havering.
As June arrives, communities across the UK celebrate Pride Month, commemorating the 1969 Stonewall riots with parades, protests, and parties. Romford is proud to join in again this year with an exciting programme of free entertainment, performances, and inclusive activities on Saturday, 28th June from 12 pm to 4 pm.
Romford Pride 2025 will take place in Romford Market and promises a bold and beautiful celebration of LGBTQ+ diversity, featuring a compelling line-up of artists and creatives from across the community. Get ready to be blown away by the vibrant celebration of diversity at Pride in Romford! Brace yourself for an extraordinary showcase of performances that will leave you in awe. All acts are absolutely free to enjoy! So make sure you seize the day and immerse yourself in the incredible artistry on display.
Featured Acts:
- Emi – An independent singer-songwriter and full-time student at East London Arts and Music.
- Sumer Brook – A poet, comic, writer, and activist from South East London. With sharp wit and political
commentary, Sumner brings “reverse youth pastor” energy with thought-provoking humour.
- Karteer Mugler – A member of the prestigious House of Mugler since 2015, and a Paris Ballroom Scene voguer, known for his explosive performances and expressive dance.
- Jo Bailey – The event host and drive-time presenter on Phoenix FM, Jo is an LGBTQIA+ speaker and
musician bringing charisma and community spirit to the stage.
Beyond performances, attendees can enjoy:

- Flag decorating workshops
- Stalls including Cute Ghoul Gifts
- Community engagement with the Barking & Dagenham LGBT+ Social Network
- Local MET Police LGBT Liaison team

This quote, created during one of Kaleidoscope’s pre-Pride poetry workshops, sums up the heart of the event.
Romford Pride has been shaped with the local LGBTQ+ community in mind. Over the past three years, Kaleidoscope has hosted inclusive events including drag karaoke, creative workshops, film festivals, and more. The organisation’s commitment to alcohol-free, youth-oriented spaces has filled a much-needed gap in Havering—creating safe and supportive environments where young queer people can be themselves without judgement.
Kaleidoscope welcomes people of all races, faiths, abilities, sexualities, and genders, including straight and cisgender allies. Gender equality and intersectional inclusivity are at the core of everything they do.
After Romford Pride, attendees are encouraged to continue the celebrations at Pride in London on Saturday, 5th July.
