The world of comic books is very popular at the moment, with Marvel and DC bringing more movies out, it has brought people’s attention back to the place that the characters first started, but not only those, there are many other comic books by some top artists and writers not only from the two big names.
The Rhyl Comics and Discs Co has been a store that many comic book fan has loved over the years that it has been in Rhyl, with many a comic book fan using the store as their number one place to not only buy comic books, but also have the chance to chat with people who are in the know and grab themselves some signed work.
We spoke to Shauny at Rhyl Comics and Disc Co about the store before its grand opening which is taking place this Saturday 8th August:
The owner, Stuart Stevenson, started selling comic books over 25 years ago in a small room, above a music store in Chester. A few years later he opened doors in Rhyl, bringing superheroes to North Wales. Today he owns multiple stores across the country, and is a well-known name to the entire comic community. Now we are weekly suppliers to hundreds of customers who chose us over any large-chain or online store. Customer service is our super-power.
The grand opening of the new store on Saturday will see special guest artists, competitions, freebies and various cosplayers turning up to make the day something special. Of course Blazing Minds will be popping along to have a chat and most probably spend a good few hours looking through the vast collection of comic books, autographs and loads more other products that the bigger store has.
So make a note in your diaries folks, The Rhyl Comics and Disc Co grand opening takes place Saturday 8th August at 12 Wellington Road, Rhyl. See you there.
