Star Wars Fan with Rare Cancer Got to See The Force Awakens

Recently we received an email about Daniel Fleetwood who has a rare cancer and wanted to see Star Wars: The Force Awakens, stars from the movie tweeted about his campaign to see the film.

Mark Hamill, the original Luke Skywalker and John Boyega, who will play Finn in the new movie, pushed for the “dream” to happen.

Daniel’s wife tweeted out a request for him to see the movie on 29th October and hit has had an amazing response.

Daniel is suffering from a rare form of cancer called spindle cell sarcoma and was told he had two months to live in July.

The fantastic news came through that Daniel Fleetwood’s dream has come true and got to see the Episode 7 of the Star Wars saga with his wife on the 5th November.

Daniel’s wife, Ashley, posted on Facebook: “Daniel just finished watching an unedited version of Star Wars: The Force Awakens!!! thanked the “talented [director] JJ Abrams for calling us to tell us Daniel was getting his wish.

“I want to thank ALL the amazing people who helped make this happen, thank you beyond words!!! May the force be with you all.

Star Wars: The Force Awakens hits UK Cinemas on the 17th December.
