The Banshees – Silent Nightmare/Chasing Pablo – Music Review

The Banshees hailing from the city I love, Liverpool, bring us a different sound to their new track Silent Nightmare/Chasing Pablo, compared to their other tracks.

This track was created during lockdown, a very difficult time for all artists releasing new material, but I have got to say, this track was created, recorded and produced during lockdown, a very difficult time for artists releasing new material.  But I have got to say, this is a fantastic track from The Banshees. One which you can hear the influences of The Coral, The Strokes and The Cure throughout the track.

The Banshees - Silent Nightmare/Chasing Pablo

With already having over 10K views on YouTube already, this track will definitely strike a chord with a lot of people.  Dealing with the everyday frustrations and anger experienced throughout the lockdown, at such an uncertain time in the country’s current climate.

The track takes you on a journey with both the lyrics, and the music itself.

The Banshees have certainly surpassed themselves with this very creative track, it is so catchy, and so very much about the here and now.  Such a captivating track.

The Banshees

Vinny Pereira and Paul Holligan are the geniuses behind the lyrics and guitar sounds on this track, absolutely fantastic.

The Banshees are so down to earth, and really knock out some of the most resonating relatable lyrics to anyone.  I know myself, this track in particular, I can wholly relate too, and it is generally how I have been feeling during this whole lockdown.  It is like they have entered people’s minds, and released the majority of people’s feelings into a fantastic track.

I have had the greatest honour of meeting these guys, and every time I hear their lyrics, of any of their previous tracks, as well as ‘Silent Nightmare/Chasing Pablo’, I can somehow relate to the lyrics.  And that is what you call a genius combination with music.

The Banshees have previously had play from the BBC, a feature on BT TV Music, and great coverage from BBC Introducing (Dave Monks), Louder Than War, Northern Exposure and King of Tinnitist ‘Canada’s most-followed music critic’ Darryl Sterdan, and they have also had their tracks played at Anfield(LFC).  Plus they have also worked on a project with Benumu and Jagermeister.

I have rated The Banshees new track ‘ Silent Nightmare/Chasing Pablo’ an absolute solid 5 out of 5 for collaborating the lyrics, the guitar sound into a truly amazing track.

You can give the guys a follow on all social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram.  Check out the new video for the track on YouTube, as well as their other music.  And you can purchase their tracks through Bandcamp, iTunes and stream through Spotify.
