The other day we posted the fantastic news about cinemas reopening in Wales and today is the day that many have opened, but Cineworld Cinemas will be opening their doors on the 19th and with the announcement of the opening came the news of some Cineworld Unlimited Screenings for May and June.
If you are excited about getting back to the cinema then I’m sure that many of you have started booking tickets already and I know that there are many people that have grabbed themselves their first Cineworld Unlimited Card in preparation for kicking back with some tasty popcorn and enjoying movies the way they should be seen.
Cineworld Unlimited Screenings for May and June
Frankie (previews May 23rd May)
Frankie, a well-known French actress, has only a few months to live. For that reason, she decides to spend her last vacation with her large family in Sintra (Portugal). Despite the picturesque location, the relatives present struggle with a variety of love, marriage and money problems.
The film stars Isabelle Huppert, Greg Kinnear, Marisa Tomei, Jérémie Renier and Andre Wilms had joined the cast of the film, with Ira Sachs directing the film, from a screenplay he wrote alongside Mauricio Zacharias.
The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It (previews 25th May)
“The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It” reveals a chilling story of terror in the Conjuring Universe, murder and unknown evil that shocked even experienced real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren. One of the most sensational cases from their files, it starts with a fight for the soul of a young boy, then takes them beyond anything they’d ever seen before, to mark the first time in U.S. history that a murder suspect would claim demonic possession as a defence.
Vera Farmiga and Patrick Wilson return to star as Lorraine and Ed Warren, under the direction of Michael Chaves (“The Curse of La Llorona”). The film also stars Ruairi O’Connor (Starz’ “The Spanish Princess”), Sarah Catherine Hook (Hulu’s “Monsterland”) and Julian Hilliard (the series “Penny Dreadful: city of Angels” and “The Haunting of Hill House”).
A Quiet Place: Part II (previews 28th May)
I was a big fan of A Quiet Place so now it seems like forever since “part II” was announced, but now we finally get to see it on the big screen now that Cineworld has reopened.
Following the events at home, the Abbott family now face the terrors of the outside world. Forced to venture into the unknown, they realize the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats lurking beyond the sand path.
The Father (previews 1st June)
A man refuses all assistance from his daughter as he ages. As he tries to make sense of his changing circumstances, he begins to doubt his loved ones, his own mind and even the fabric of his reality.
Starring Oscar winner Anthony Hopkins and Olivia Colman the loyal daughter Anne whose love is tested by the challenging circumstances of her father’s dimentia.
Dream Horse (previews 3rd June)
Dream Horse stars Toni Colette (Hereditary; Knives Out) stars in this heartwarming drama. The true story of Dream Alliance, an unlikely racehorse bred by small-town bartender Jan Vokes. With very little money and no experience, Jan convinces her neighbors to chip in their meager earnings to help raise Dream and compete with the racing elites.
In the Heights (previews 11th June)
The creator of “Hamilton” and the director of “Crazy Rich Asians” invite you to a cinematic event, where the streets are made of music and little dreams become big… “In the Heights.”
Lights up on Washington Heights…The scent of a cafecito caliente hangs in the air just outside of the 181st Street subway stop, where a kaleidoscope of dreams rallies this vibrant and tight-knit community. At the intersection of it all is the likeable, magnetic bodega owner Usnavi (Anthony Ramos), who saves every penny from his daily grind as he hopes, imagines and sings about a better life.
Supernova (previews 25th June)
A gay couple — one a musician, the other a novelist — embark on a road trip as dementia starts to take hold of one of them. Supernova marks actor Harry Macqueen’s second feature as a director following his highly regarded debut “Hinterland”. Macqueen comments: “It is a huge honour to be premiering the film at San Sebastian this year. Supernova is a film about how love overcomes even the hardest human experiences and what we are willing to sacrifice for the people we adore. It is a romantic and life-affirming film, which at a time like this seems more important than ever.”
Another Round (previews 29th June)
Another Round (Danish: Druk, “binge drinking”) is a 2020 comedy-drama film directed by Thomas Vinterberg, from a screenplay by Vinterberg and Tobias Lindholm. An international co-production between Denmark, the Netherlands, and Sweden, the film stars Mads Mikkelsen, Thomas Bo Larsen, Magnus Millang, and Lars Ranthe.
Movie Heaven for Movie Lovers!
So there you go movie fans, seven Cineworld Unlimited Screenings to choose from if you are an Unlimited Card member, I can’t wait to check these out and I’ve already booked to see The Conjuring 3 as I’m a fan of the Conjuring Universe, keep your eyes peeled for my review on the movie here on Blazing Minds after the screening.
