We have made some updates today, and you may have noticed that we updated the Vuelio Film Blogs UK Top 10 image on the Blazing Minds website. It fills me with great pride that Vuelio has listed Blazing Minds as a Top UK Film Blog on their Top 10 list for 2024.
Blazing Minds has dropped by one from its position at number 3 to give the 3rd place spot to Hey U Guys, with some fluctuations in the rankings and new additions to the prestigious list. It is an honour to be part of the top 5.
It is truly an honour to be included among the big names in the film blog genre on this site. It’s inspiring to see this North Wales-based film blog slowly moving up the chart. We owe our success to the amazing writers on the site, who not only provide great reviews, interviews, and more, but also leverage the power of social media to promote their articles on Twitter (now known as X), Facebook, Instagram, and other platforms.

New at number 1 is the Bleeding Cool team, moving up from the second spot and sharing ‘what’s happening in the pop culture landscape’. This mix of the high-brow and popular is particularly perfect for this year’s Oscar season, with the Barbieheimer discourse ramping up once more. What’s happening on the small screen is also pretty cool to this blogging team, who cover what’s streaming on television, what’s happening in wrestling, and in the gaming world, too.
Flickering Myth
Flickering back onto our screens is Flickering Myth, where you can find coverage of ‘British film and the latest Hollywood blockbusters, to genre and independent cinema’. All aspects of entertainment are featured, with sections for the most popular of pop culture right at the top of the home page (Star Wars, Marvel, and DC). Up from last year’s sixth spot is Hey U Guys. Taking its name from 80s movie ‘The Goonies’, this blog covers entertainment through the decades, from classic film to contemporary releases. Most recently covered are the big winner’s from this year’s BAFTAs and who might be going home with a trophy at the Oscars in March. Sticking at number seven in our ranking update is Sean Evans, who is here to help ensure your next trip back to the movies won’t be a disappointing one. A ‘one-man band 99% of the time’ (but with the occasional contributing guest writer), Sean aims to keep the blog’s original ‘personal, homemade feel’ from when it was born on his 21st birthday. Find reviews, interviews, and deep discussion. Subjects recently ‘accessed, analysed and chatted about’ include new Jumanji tie-ins, the Ted franchise, and films where the bad guy wins (we won’t spoil them).
