2:HRS Looking to Secure the Natural History Museum

It’s not that easy making films these days and a lot of film makers are using sites such as Indigogo to help them not only get their projects off the ground but also allow them to get great locations.

The upcoming project from Makelight Productions titled 2:HRS has launched its crowdfunding to get funds to film in the Natural History Museum.

The Indiegogo campaign is looking to raise £15,000, with lots of different levels to allow people to give to 2:HRS ranging from £5 that enables the 2:hrs community to grow. A £10 “90 minutes and counting” contribution earns an early digital download of the film.

A £75 contribution will get a items with urban street artist, Karl Striker, artwork t-shirt or tote bags, Vitalitron artwork, script downloads and much more. The larger contributions (ranging from £100 to £1500) receive signed scripts, limited edition Karl Striker canvases, speaking parts in the film, an after hours night in the Museum with the family, and they can even get production credits (up to “associate producer”).

2:RS Bucket List

So you certainly get some great perks for contributing to the movie, which is being directed by James Newton who has trained and worked for over a decade as an actor, before taking the helm as a director.

James has directed Awarding Winning Festival Fringe productions, he also directed the viral hit, Make Your Soul Grow by Kurt Vonnegut.

2:hrs is the first piece of my creative quest to explore my obsession with legacy. Tim goes on a journey within 2:hrs to discover what it means to leave something behind. He doesn’t have enough time to amass a great fortune or become famous, but he does have time to fix problems in his personal relationships and change how he’s perceived. It’s the most important legacy that he could leave behind. – D. James Newton

2:Hrs has been created by TV writer Roland Moore, who is known for being the creator and lead writer of the BBC1 period drama Land Girls. Moore’s other credits include Smack the Pony, Docters and kid TV favourite, Rastamouse.

So if you would like to be involved with the film which is a family action adventure that centres on a fifteen-year-old boy living life as a slacker, who bunks off a school trip at the Natural History Museum with his two best friends only to discover he has just two hours left to live, then check out the links below to the IndieGogo crowdfunding page.
